ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES:
COL Blade has left for the Reserves.
AWARDS/PROMOTIONS:
CPT David (Lamed) has been promoted to Major.
LCM Micheal Perry (Teth) has been awarded a Palpatine's Crescant.
WING NEWS:
1) Hmm.. first off, I'd like to congratulate Wing IV's newest Major, CMDR David!! David is a loooongtime member of Wing IV and Lamed Squadron, having spent his entire career there. For all his loyalty and wing contributions (including a Jedi Knight level), I hereby promote you to Major, David! Congrats!!
Though David has served his entire career under my command (with me as either his CMDR or WC), strangely enough, he's resisted the effects and eccentricities that have afflicted MAJ Mini Minkus and CPT Bret K'thraz, among others who've had the good fortune to serve under me. Consider yourself lucky David :P
2) Secondly, the third and final round of the Wing IV "Quest for the Iron Star" Competition has ended. Top Gun for Round 3 was MAJ Mini Minkus, and Zayin and Lamed tied for best squadron participation, with 67% each. Results will be out shortly.
Overall in the competition, MAJ Mini Minkus had the best total score, and earned himself the Iron Star with.. Bronze Wings I believe. Congrats Mini! Teth Squadron had the best participation with 21/33 entries, 64%. *But* Zayin Squadron had the best participation in Rounds 2 and 3, and has earned Wing Commander's Own Honors for February. Great job to all who participated, thanks for making this competition a success!
3) Well, Teth has finished their comp with Hammer (results pending) and their comp with Prae goes on for a while yet, but the rest of us are left with no competitions. I'd like to find another wing to challenge, but no luck so far. Anyway, I have a little idea for a fiction competition which I think I'll try out. Stay tuned for details :)
4) We did have a Wing IV IRC "Meeting" Saturday night.. Mostly just a get-together. Most notably, Bret chickened out of the Multiplayer challenge I issued. Tsk :p j/k.
