- First things first ... please join me in giving a warm welcome to LT Joba, Wing III's latest and (soon to be) greatest pilot! I'm sure the lieutenant is good for a few rounds of drinks in the cantina ;-)
- The big news throughout the TIE Corps this week is the resignation of AD Theodore as Flight Officer. Theo has stepped down to be able to spend more time with his newly-expanded RL family. For those who don't know, he recently became the proud papa of a baby girl, and understandably wants to devote most of his time to parenthood. Our new Flight Officer is AD Priyum "Pour me a drink" Patel! (No, that's not his real nick name, but it just sounds right, doesn't it?)
- LC Sequoh Marden recently returned from his brief leave of absence, relieving CM Cal Sinis of his position as A-CMDR for Beth. Cal did a great job, I'm pleased to report that Beth had no spoon-related injuries during his watch!
- Beth's competition against Phoenix Squadron ends tomorrow, the 16th! Get to your cockpits, Beth pilots! There will be a multiplayer segment on the 17th; interested parties should contact LC Sequoh.
- Daleth's competition against Ghost Squadron ends on the 23rd ... Daleth pilots, get flying! Remember, the LT3000 Comet is yours for a day if you can pull this off.
- Round 4 of GN Ricardo's "Name that Ewok" competition has begun. Be sure to try your hand at furball identification : http://www.crimson-net.org/wingiv/ewokmain.htm
- The Hey vs. Falcon competition is still underway, with the deadline being the 18th. Hey pilots ... you guessed it ... get flying! The mission to fly is the same as the XWA League (FREE-XWA #12).
- EH Newsletter #71 now available to the fleet : http://php.ehnet.org/NL71.zip
- CMDR/CPT Jaster Sadista remains on leave until February 18th, so all Aleth pilots should continue to send your pilot files straight to me. I've already recieved several pilot files from LT Scoser ... but nobody else. Come on, Aleth! Flood my inbox with pilot files ... I can take it!
- Aleth vs. Phantom competition still in planning ... I'm sure Jaster will hammer out the details once he returns.
- Several changes have been made to the Fleet Standing Orders ( http://www.emperorshammer.ca/flightoffice/general.html ) by AD Priyum. These changes should have been forwarded throughout the wing right now (with the possible exception of Aleth due to Jaster's absence). Anyone who hasn't seen the rule changes should contact me to recieve a copy directly. Slight changes were made to the sections pertaining to Clones, Transfers, and Recruiting.
- Priority Orders : Combat Run #3 of the XWA League is coming to an end, and flying this mission (FREE-XWA #12) should take TOP PRIORITY over any other activity besides breathing. All Wing III pilots must complete the mission by February 16th! Aleth pilots, send your pilot files directly to me. We are the only XWA Wing aboard the flagship of the EH ... we are the best of the best. Now we just need to prove it to the rest of the fleet, and putting one of our squads into the number one spot at the end of the XWA League would be a nice start. This is not an unrealistic expectation for the dedicated. You don't have to set a new high score ... just fly the mission. Your participation may make the difference between victory and defeat. Believe me ... one pilot can make the difference. I'm depending on all of you to give this the best effort you possibly can.

- This week's product spotlight : The pewter Imperial logo keychain. Bright, shiny, and oh-so-stylish. If you have keys ... you might as well have a good looking keychain, right? We've all seen the losers that have simple rings holding their keys together (or worse ... a twist tie). Compared to last week's spotlight, this one is ultra cheap -- it retails for about $6.00. Like any other cool little trinket, it may not be necessary to keep on living ... but it helps. Go on, treat yourself.
