Wing XV Report #1 - 02.04.00
Pilot's Lounge
Captain Khadgar awoke to the beeping of his Com Unit.
Khadgar got up and looked at the datapad, 3 new messages.
"Play back all messages," Khadgar told the computer.
Vice Admiral Cyric appeared on the screen, "Khadgar, I want you back on Commodore's Protector duty, report in 1 hour."
Next, Vitriolic Carp, the Battlegroup Commander reported on the screen.
"Battlegroup Commander's report for January 29th. this weeks challenge, if a wookie has 42 coconuts and a group of rather intelligent Ewoks decides to steal the square root of all the coconuts to replenish their food supply, after realizing some are missing, the wookie decided to eat 3 of the coconuts..."
"Next Message, Computer," Khadgar said.
"This is Ender MBind, Congratulations, you are the next Wing XV Wing Commander!"
Khadgar couldn't believe what he was hearing, "Must be a joke of some kind," he said
Khadgar changed into his Uniform and proceeded to Cyric's office for Commodore duty.
On the way, he saw a fimilar face, Tyderius Gaul.
"Hello Tyderius, What's up with you?"
Before Tyderius could answer the question, he quickly and loudly said "CONGRATULATIONS!"
"But I've been Captain for about a week now," Khadgar said, as Tyderius walked off.
Khadgar went into Cyric's Office to find Cyric and Mareek standing behind his desk.
"I just heard Khadgar, Congratulations, Mareek will escort you to the Vanguard now," Cyric said with a grin on his face.
"If you'll follow me, Major," Mareek said, walking out the door.
Khadgar was escorted to a Shuttle within the Grey Wolf's special CMDRs hangar bay, when inside we left the Grey Wolf and headed towards the Vanguard.
After a short journey, the shuttle landed in the docking bay of the Vanguard. I walked outside the ramp to see many Stormtroopers and Officers standing in a stiff salute.
A group of four officers headed in my direction.
"Welcome to the Vanguard, Khadgar, it's been awhile," Ender MBind said.
"Indeed it has," Khadgar responded.
After a formal introduction of the CMDRs and staff, the Stormtroopers and Officers filed out of the docking bay, leaving Khadgar and the staff alone.
A man approached me and started waving his hand.
"You will award me a Palpatine Crescent and promote me to Colonel when the time is right."
"What?" Khadgar responded.
"You WILL award me a Palpatine Crescent and promote me to Colonel when the time is right."
"Who are you?" Khadgar inquired.
"Bah, never mind the waving, I am Lieutenant Colonel Hizad."
Khadgar proceeded in to his desk to find a large stack of datapads sitting on his desk... It would be a long day indeed...

We have two new pilots, CM Flelm and CM Rothmans, Welcome aboard!
For the Motto/Nickname Competition... I have chosen a winner. While everyone who entered had at least one good suggestion, I had to narrow it down to one Nickname/Motto. Congratulations to LT Victor Stalwart for coming up with Nickname: "Hammer's Shield" and Motto: "Strength and Honour", they will be our new Nickname/Motto!
New Fiction/Graphics Competition coming up soon, RA Ender MBind sent out details within and E-Mail. We will have an online rating scale and Iron Star Nickel Ribbons will be given to the winners.

Description: "The Wing XV Commander will add a piece of a story to his wing reports, together with a XWA Mission based on that part of the story. Participating Pilots in the wing send in their pilot files of that mission to their CMDRs - including a short written fictional account of their experiences in the mission. The CMDRs check the pilot files, forward the scores, the reports and their own files to the Commodore and Wing Commander and include the best fiction of their squadron in their weekly reports. The best fiction in the wing will be taken up in the wing report, arranged into "propaganda"-type news coverage. Medals are awarded to the best flying and to the best writing but also to outstanding activity like helping to run this competition.
Flying and fiction both influence the story, and so the missions: the Pilots' performance in one mission has consequences on the next mission they'll fly. Making this a true Interactive Battle with a flexible story line, centered around the ISD Vanguard and it's Squadrons."
Status: The first turn winner were rewarded, Ender said he will do the ViB related things in his COM Report. We are in need of XWA Mission designers, contact Ender MBind if interested.
