WING VIII Weekly Report
Week Ending 04.02.01
Apologies:
Normal service was interrupted for the whole of last week when I was 'forced' to travel to my brother's house. I only had limited Email access and limited online time. I am now safely back at my own house and normal service should be resumed.
WING NEWS
Well, we survived being closed down and turned in a very active week. I was all proud of everyone who attended the meeting last sunday, your pride for the Colossus showed. I, unfortunently, was away at my brothers all week and have only just got back home. I could not be as active as I wanted to be in my first week and I apologize for that. I was very pleased however to see my inbox bursting virtually everyday I checked it. Activity is on the rise, lets keep it there.
Main news this week was the opening of Mu squadron and the subsequent hunt for a CMDR. Me and TT have recieved many entries, all good and it was an extremely tough decision. But as they say in Highlander, "There can be only one!!" My heartfelt congratulations go to...
LT DARK TALON!!
Comiserations to all who applied but didn't get it. Talon has proved himself time and time again to be a loyal and dedicated officer. His dedication to Mu is outstanding, he'll do the job well.

Mail activity on the egroup was centered around the Colossus Map, Anyone who hasn't registered do so! We would love to know where you are in the world!
Being back to full operating capacity now means that very soon I will be implementing some ideas. First things first, I call on COL Mell to become my XO. He will have special responsibilities which I will assign him. He knows this ship like the back of his hand and rather handily own isdcolossus.com. I know he will do me proud.
My apologies once more for not being at the meeting, for those of you (like me :P) who missed it, The log is attached to this Email.
Colossus Arena is still continuing with a few minor changes. There are currently plenty of challenges in progress. Go on... Challenge someone to a fight!!
SQUADRONS SUMMARY
PI squadron have been bolstered by the arrival from the reserves of my one time XO and former Nu CMDR, CM Avantar. Battle of the week is running (TC#76) and Email activity is high. Pi is looking good.
OMICRON squadron is very active in recruiting new pilots for the Colossus. Special thanks must go to LT Deke, LCM Daniel Stephens and LCM Dall Star. If anyone hasn't joined the Colossus Recruiting office and wishes to Email either of these three! The new CMDR, CM Anthony Starr is settling in well after a difficult week, I have high hopes for him. Omicron is also home to the Top Gun of the Colossus for this week, LT Vash Tribal! He submitted an outstanding 25 BSF's this week!
ETA is performing well and with the addition of CPT Devlin, have some punch. They also have 4 new pilots this week, one of which is a buddy of mine. LT Janus Doombringer, im expecting great things from you! (You have been trained well :P)
CAPTION COMPETITION
This weeks caption competiton was a tricky one to judge. We had a few entries but as always, there can be only one. The winner of this weeks is LT Horus Taalon who made my faithful servant Vincent laugh the loudest.
