WING V REPORT 19
WC/LC Proton reporting on 2-26-01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:

"Nahta-seetaba!" the jawa chittered, waving his stubby arms wildly at the hulking Tusken raider towering above him. For emphasis, Leroy pulled his blaster and fired two blasts at the bulkhead. Sparks showered over Dude. Snippy the probe droid skipped sideways in robotic alarm.
"Ah-haaarrgghh!" Dude roared, in a version of Tusken laughter. The raider then began clapping his hands in mock applause, right in the little jawa's face.
"Yaa-nacht! Boo-nacht!" Leroy screamed. He kicked the Tusken in the shin and stomped out of the briefing room.
Two Wing V squadron commanders were just emerging from the cantina and witnessed the confrontation between the two assistants.
"What was that all about?" one of the commanders asked LC Proton, who had been standing at ease nearby, smirking at his assistants.
Proton laughed and explained, "Dude bet on the wing reaching 50 by this weekend, and Leroy bet his whole paycheck that it would take another week. ... Winner take all. Leroy's busted."
Dude beat his chest with both fists and let loose with a victory scream.

T/F Desperate entered the Sovereign hangar bay and LC Proton climbed out of the battle-scorched TIE. "Whew, sorry I'm late getting the report done for transmission to the wing, Snippy, but there were a lot of Rebels in my way this week," the wing commander told his droid assistant.
The military surplus droid whipped out of sight toward the WC's office, intent on completing the already late report.

- There has been a ton of flight activity lately in the wing, which is fantastic! However, I have noticed that many pilots' scores are uniformly low. Everyone should try to fly EH missions at "hard" difficulty level. Your scoring will be higher and, especially in competitions, your performances will be better. Furthermore, the FCHG points you earn will mean more to you, if to no one else.
My own experience is that flying on hard forces you to fly better, and it just makes you a better pilot. You will be glad in the long run that you took the tougher course.
Of course, there's always the option of dropping down to medium or easy to complete an especially difficult flight assignment.
This is not an absolute command, just some friendly advice from your kindly neighborhood wing commander >:)

- We're back up to 50 pilots. Excellent job, all recruiters!
- LCM Dae Cam/Sadhe started a discussion about multiplayer flight activity ideas inside squadrons. Wing V is a TIE wing, but many pilots have XvT and XWA as well, and they routinely fly all three platforms. This is the best of all worlds! Dae and others suggest in general that squadrons should field flights of multiplayer pilots, for friendly competitions inside squadrons and possibly with flights fielded by other squadrons in the wing. I encourage all CMDRs, FLs and FMs to organize and participate in such activities. There is no need for a formal bureaucratic structure for this -- I see it as a device to get more flight opportunities for our pilots right here at home in the wing, whether it be on one or all platforms.

I've been updating these over the past week or so, modifying some of the existing policies and whatnot. I've made one addition to the General Orders, on the subject of Recruitment. I won't go into detail here, but I've clarified where and when you can recruit. The new policy is at http://flightoffice/emperorshammer.ca/general.html
For CMDRs+, if you currently have approved Battlegroup SOs, Ship/Wing SOs or Squadron SOs, and they are NOT listed on the Local Orders page (http://flightoffice/emperorshammer.ca/local.html), then please send me the URL if you haven't done so already, and I'll add them to that list.
Clones:
If you're currently running Clones in the TC and/or NC, them please email me all the relevant details (ID Lines, PINs & email addresses) at spellfire@btinternet.com as I'm currently in the processing of making sure that all clones are recorded on the appropriate profiles.

The database has recently caught several cheaters who were either sharing pilot files or stealing pilot files (i.e. a CMDR takes his FM's pilot files, renames them, and submits them to his WC as the CMDR's own). These cases are currently being investigated.
Keep in mind that the punishment for cheating for FIRST TIME OFFENDERS is a demotion to Sub-Lieutenant, loss of all medals (except the OV), loss of all high scores, and a perm-ban (which applies to all clones as well) off the battle board and FCHG system. Repeat offenders are expelled.
The rule is simple: One pilot file for one PIN # only. Don't share your pilot file with friends. Don't share your pilot file with clones to try to get double the credit for the work done.

Following VitCarp's resignation from the Fleet, I have decided on the new ASF BGCOM. Many congratulations to Vice Admiral Cyric! Cyric is a long-standing member of the Aggressor Strike Force, and has proven his abilities during his tenure as Grey Wolf COM. His has my full trust to bring continued success to the ASF. VA Cyric's first duty will be to select the new Grey Wolf Commodore.
- TAC/AD Starlion reports:
Well. I've just pulled FREE-TIE 148 "Noname squadron" out of the roster for being a clone of another FREE-TIE. This could have been rectified much quicker, if someone would have told me. Still, what's done is done. F-TIE 148 is now "Tod's Anniversary". All High Scores from that battle have been transfered to the new one. Anyone found to be submitting "Noname squadron" for F-TIE 148 after midnight tonight will have their BSF denied. My apologies for the inconvenience, but it appears the previous TAC's files were not as up to date as i had hoped.

In an attempt to complete the OPS Office's archive of unit patches, it is necessary that all squadrons check http://www.emperorshammer.ca/opsoffice/squadpatches.htm and make sure that if your squadron has a patch and it is not on there, that it be submitted to CA:OPS/VA Wet Willy at wetwilly@jedi.nu as soon as possible. Also, if you have a patch on there, but have a more recent one, please submit the new one.
