Fleet Naval Corps Report #2 - February, 2nd, 2001
Current Naval Corps Membership: 51
Welcome to my Second Report, I apologise if it takes a while to load, but I thought i'd try something different for once, I'm sending a plain text one after this if it is trouble, but any feedback on the layout, or the download time more specifically would be appreciated. (As you can tell, I like playing with AOLs new features :P)
Now, onto business, this weeks been nice in the development area, as we've seen some advance on the NC changes, aswell as some good feedback from the membership.
For everyone's information, I've resigned Science Office Assistant, so I now have more time to spend for the Naval Corps. Also, my congratulations go to Rear Admiral Renier, the new Task Force Commander of Crusader!
So, onto the announcements:
1.) As I already said, TFC of Crusader has been appointed, congratulations to RA Renier.
2.) The NC reform ideas are altering a fair bit, with HA Kawolski, and VA Ari's proposed system, my own ideas have been altered a little, so when i get the final proposal I can edit it accordingly into a system that suits the Naval Corps. The poll i've done over the navalcorps yahoogroup has been primarily positive. The main negative feedback has been on the grounds of "We still want TFC", or "We don't want a fleet of CRVs to start with". But, other than these more minor points, the actual automated wargaming is mainly considered a good idea.
3.) Naval Staff, and the Naval Corps FAQ are currently on a short hold, as I've not had much free time this week, as i had the flu all of last week, and my free times been occupied with catching up school work. But, I should be able to get a start on these this weekend, hopefully. If not, I will be getting well into them sometime in the next 2 weeks. Expect finished versions within 3 weeks.
4.) TFC Raven is currently remaining in his position, so this will not be opening, meaning I won't need to collect any more applications right now. This means that we have most of our command positions filled, and pretty much all of them are capable of doing their jobs. However, I know there are a few "bad apples" in the crop, my parents are farmers, I can't help it :P So I will be conducting a survey/test of our command officers to ensure they are all capable of doing their jobs.
5.) Finally, Chief of Staff Quake is working on our new webpage, I hope to see it online sometime in the next fortnight, for this reason, the old page is no longer being updated, so the information on it should no longer be used.
Thats it for this week, its been pretty good in my eyes, and I hope for it to remain this way :)
Thankyou
Salute!
Naval Commander, Vice Admiral Xanos Goatham Zorrixor
