Koph Squadron
Report #26
2.28.2001 - LC Firebird
Pilots of Koph Squadron:
FCHG Total: 0 points! <-- To be explained later.
Lots of stuff going on this March! The very first thing I would like
to point out is this:
Squadron Citations (2):
TC-TIE Battle 1 - Capture of Zaarin
TC-TIE Battle 156 - EH Wrestling Extravaganza
This is fantastic! This is wonderful! I want this list to grow by a
ton this month!
What is a Squadron Citation, you ask? It's not like a citation in
school. Those are bad. These are good. When a squadron has 6 or more
pilots, and 50% or more of those pilots have completed a battle, the
squadron earns a citation. Let's keep the squadron at at least 6
pilots and keep those citations coming :)
New pilot! Everyone please give a warm welcome to Lieutenant Arion
Sunrider! He will be flying a Missile Boat at position 3 of Flight 3.
Welcome once again to Koph, Lieutenant!
Competitions! There are two of them going on that you should know
about. The first is that one with Zayin Squadron. I received the
following mail from CPT Hello this morning:
*** BEGIN MAIL ***
Greetings LC FireBird
This is CPT Hello of Zayin letting you know that our competition has
been approved. I got tired of waiting for Ast to respond so I just
resubmited it with a format I knew would go through. The competition
number is 408 and details can be viewed here.
http://www.imperialacademy.org/compdetails.asp?ID=408
it officially starts on the 7th of march and ends on the 14th of
march. But since it was aproved much quicker then I thought please
feel free to inform your people of the competitions aproval, but
please tell me when you do if it is before the 7th so I can tell
zayin about it. Also the high scorer from both squads gets an Iron
Star Bronze Wings. We shall be flying FT 135 which is what I believe
we agreed on. Good luck to you and Koph. If I forgot to mention
something it is all on Imp.org
CPT Hello
*** END MAIL ***
I believe it was FREE-TIE 130 that I originally suggested, but no
matter. We will kill them on any FREE-TIE they want. The first order
of business for Koph should be to fly FREE-TIE 135 for the highest
score you can manage. Your scores will count for both the competition
with Zayin Squadron, and...
...the FCHG competition with Wing II!
What's a FCHG competition, you ask? It's simple! When you fly a
mission for the first time, you get a FCHG point. If you got a high
score for that mission, you get two points. If that mission was part
of a battle and you get a high score on the battle, you get a third
point. So.. the wing that gets the most points between now and
midnight on March 31st wins the competition.
Here's the catch: Wing II has the most pilots of any other wing on the
SSSD Sovereign. That means every Wing VI pilot has to get more points
than every 2 pilots in Wing II. I know Iceman can get more points by
himself than any full squadron over there in Wing II, but even our
illustrious Iceman can't beat Wing II alone. Wing VI needs you to fly
as much as you can manage between now and the end of the month.
Go for high scores if you can, but if you can't beat the high score, a
win on easy counts for the same number of points as a win on hard. You
do the math.
As you probably noticed, for this month there will always be a FCHG
point count at the top of each weekly report. Keep an eye on that, and
watch the end of the report for your Activity Report, which will show
how many of those points you have earned individually.
Finally... never fear, the Koph Ace is here! It is my pleasure to
award the Koph Ace of the Week to Lieutenant Arion Sunrider! As has
become traditional, the new pilot gets the Koph Ace during his or her
first week. However, that's not the only reason I have to give it to
Arion. I met with Arion on IRC two days in a row, and as he was
logging off last night, he had already downloaded the first 20 TC-TIEs
with the intent to fly them. I look forward to LT Sunrider's
consistent participation and contributions to our two competitions
this month!
