Significant Events of Childhood and Adolescence: Hicks grew up in the outskirts of Coronet, living with his father. His mother died during his early childhood from an unknown disease, leaving Hicks to become closely associated with his father. Despite his father being an officer in the Imperial Navy, Hicks joined the Corellian Security Force at the age of 16, and learned to fly starfighters through the CorSec Anti-Smuggling Division. He continued in CorSec's service until his father was killed in the Battle of Coruscant, whereupon he left CorSec to avenge his father's death.

Significant Events of Adulthood: Hicks joined the Emperor's Hammer shortly after the battle and was drafted into Tornado squadron as a Flight Member. Since his joining, he has held various positions in the squadron, and has vowed loyalty to Tornado. In the cockpit, he is known for his calm under fire, letter-perfect flying, and deadly aim.

Alignment and Attitude: Whilst Hicks does not display any strong signs of affection for the Empire, he is passtionately hostile to the Rebel killers of his father.
