DarkHawk Saga
FL/LT Dark Hawk/Falcon 3-1/Wing XI/ISD Immortal

DarkHawk took one last look at the fallen Jedi that lies at his feet. Funny he thought, usually he felt nothing…a void when someone has fallen victim to him. But today seemed different, for a second he almost felt remorse. But only for that second. He picked up the Jedi's saber and hooked it on his belt. He turned to leave the platform area, his cloak still draping over the jedi, he did not see the Jedi struggling in a last ditch effort to summon what strength he had left to trip the alarm. DarkHawk was about a quarter the way across the platform bridge and the shriek of the alarm ran through his entire body. DAMN!!!!! He screamed…"So much for an easy out!" He turned and saw the Jedi slump over to his stomach, DarkHawk walked back over to the Jedi, no remorse for him this time. In a blink of an eye, three eighteen-inch claws extracted from DarkHawk's hand, in one swift motion DarkHawk thrusted the claws in the base of the Jedi's skull. Then in another instant the claws retracted. DarkHawk rubbed his right hand, turned and started a full run out of the platform area. "This may be messy," He thought to himself, clearing the platform bridge and into the corridor. "They will be here soon enough" DarkHawk thought to himself. DarkHawk was unlike the other Dark Jedi's; he had a sense about him that was unusual. The other members of his Dark Brotherhood Clan could sense that from the time he started. From his demeanor, to his choice of outfits. Which was totally different from his other brothers. His uniform, entirely black with cloak, that gave the appearance of wings, along with that eerie battle helmet he wore. Insignia's, from his squadron, Falcon, and from his Dark Brotherhood, House Galthain of Satal Keto, but with a strange emblem on his chest. It was of a Falcon grasping in its claws was ancient Sith writing. He is allowed to wear this due to his bloodline, and he challenged anyone who questioned it. DarkHawk ran through another corridor hitting the turbolift, doors closing he was rubbing his wrist again. As the turbolift moved up, he was looking at his wrist. He can vaguely remember how he got those claws. Rebels picked up him when he was about twenty, searching for some ancient ruins. After several torturous days of interrogation they discovered his bloodline and sent him to the science department of the Alliance Space Station. There they found of his ability to heal at an accelerated rate, his heightened sense of smell, sight, and hearing. He was grafted with those claws to be added to a new line of soldiers for the Alliance. Unfortunately for them, there are only a few that are still able to recall that experiment when he escaped. They will carry those scars for the rest of there miserable lives. At that moment a slight grin came across DarkHawk's face.

The turbolift came to a stop, three levels short of where he needed to be. DarkHawk unhooked his saber from his belt, the turbolift door slid open. Blaster fire came from every direction. Then silence, the rebel lieutenant told the sergeant to take a look. As he stepped into the turbolift, the sergeant turned to face the squad with a look of confusion. Just then from above DarkHawk, dropped down and in the same motion cut the rebel soldier into two halves. He leaped out of the turbolift, landing behind the squad. Blaster fire bouncing off his saber. As he blocked the blaster fire off he edged his way closer to the squad. Saber in one hand, he extended the claws in the other. The first squad member caught the receiving end of a sidekick and then the arm of that soldier holding the blaster simply was removed from his torso. The scream echoed through the corridor. One down five to go. DarkHawk wielded his saber with such precision, in one swipe two rebels went down. DarkHawk immediately went into a forward roll, bringing him closer to the remaining rebels; a jumping front kick caught the lieutenant square in the face. Instantly touching back to the ground he executed a spinning back kick sending another rebel flying back and crashing inside the turbolift. And with a backhand swiping motion he caught the last standing rebel in the abdomen with his extended claws. The rebel officer grasped his stomach as his hands and uniform was stained with blood. DarkHawk stepped into the turbolift and finished off the rebel trying to get to his feet. Then he heard the sound of footsteps and a very quick pace. He stepped out of the turbolift and saw the lieutenant running down the corridor. DarkHawk pulled from his belt three star shaped disks, and without any hesitation hurled them at the fleeing officer. The three disks hit the rebel and flung him forward, landing face first. DarkHawk approached the down man, and saw all three disks were embedded in the base of his neck. He rolled the rebel over and sunk his claws directly through his heart. Now then he thought…lets me get out of here. DarkHawk ran back to the turbolift and threw the rebel out with the rest; hit the button and the doors closed again. "If I can make it to my ship" he thought.

The turbolift came to a stop this time at the correct level. DarkHawk readied himself. Saber lit, and he was poised for any kind of attack. The doors opened and nothing. He looked out the turbolift, no one was around. "That is not right," he thought. "Only have to go through these two corridors and I make it to the hanger and then my ship". Side-stepping out of the turbolift he looked down both ends of the corridor. Alarm still shrieking, no one in sight. DarkHawk ran to the first door, hit the button and it slid open. He peered around the door, nothing. He rolled into the connecting corridor and came to a stand. Nothing, "what is going on here" he said out loud. The door slid shut behind him. He sprinted for the next door. It was about 50 yards down the hall. He came to the door, "There" he said. He could here voices on the other side. "I knew it was to good to be true". "Only encountering one squad, I would have counted on at least three to four." I would not even have left out the entire station, by this time they surely know about the schematics I took". DarkHawk took a deep breath, and hit the button for the door he was ready. The door slid open and DarkHawk leaped at the first rebel driving his claws through his chest. Pushing him off, DarkHawk caught another at the knees with his saber. At the same time when that rebel went down he shot another standing next to him. DarkHawk leaped over the two standing in front of him, avoiding blaster fire. He landed behind them and with one swipe took them out with his saber. Both rebels fell forward once again more fall victim to him. He looked around they must have spotted my ship if they were waiting on me here he thought. He walked to the hanger door. Peered through the window and saw nothing.

"I made it this far no sense slowing down now," he said. He opened the door to the hanger, and stepped in. The usual maintenance droids doing their work, other than that he might just have given them the slip. But that would be all too easy. He moved to the corner of the hanger. That is when he saw the four guards standing point at his ship. "I knew it," he thought. I figured when I cloaked in the hanger earlier that parking my ship behind that trash hauler would have been good cover. Obviously not!! His ship was a sight for him. It was a custom made fighter that he had made from the HUTTS. They owed his father a large sum of money, so he called in that favor after his father was murdered. Unlike any other fighter, it was the shape of a falcon, with retractable wings, for faster and tighter turns. It also carried retractable talons in the undercarriage for spearing ships and tearing them open. He had cloaking ability, and it was faster than many other fighters. It was a complete work of art and the HUTTS did not want to give it up. DarkHawk figured he had to take those guards out quick. He worked his way about 12 yards away from the guards; he pulled out four more of the star shaped disks from his belt. "I hope this works he thought, only got one chance at this or the whole place will be down on me". Wait he thought, just a second, three of the guards were standing together smoking cigarettes, the fourth came out from behind the ship. "Hey you guys," he yelled. "You know there is no smoking in here" He was obviously the one in charge DarkHawk thought. As that guard moved himself closer to the front three, DarkHawk readied himself. In an instant he let the disks fly, you could here them whiz through the air almost screaming. All four caught their mark and the guards dropped. That time a smile did cross DarkHawk's face. He moved to his ship, and pulled the ladder down, climbed up and jumped into the cockpit. "Glad to see you" he said. DarkHawk started hitting all the start sequence buttons. As he closed his canopy and the engines began to turn, another squad came from the East Side of the hanger. DarkHawk thought, "I knew this was to easy". The squad made their way towards his ship firing. Luckily shields were up, a couple of laser blast hit the canopy. DarkHawk moved the throttles up and starting moving out from behind the trash hauler. The squad was almost in front of him now, a couple of quick laser bursts and the squad went skirmishing every direction. He was on the taxi ramp and noticed,…"Damn I forgot the doors"!!! The squad was regrouping, he did not have any time, and he touched his display and selected rockets and targeted the bay door in front of him. He got the steady tone and let two rockets fly. The door exploded, and DarkHawk hammered the throttles forward. He rocketed through the doors like a catapult and out he was. "Whoa that was a close one," he said.

DarkHawk started to punch in his coordinates when he felt the blast rock his ship. "What the……" he exclaimed. He looked at his radar "Damn…..X-Wings". Sure enough four X-Wings closing in fast. "So much for this being any easier" Just then he heard over his COM radio:
"Unidentified Craft, this is Blue Leader, shut down your craft or you will be destroyed"
"You have entered control air space and are ordered to set your ship down for further investigation."
DarkHawk hit his COM switch to off. DarkHawk throttled up and reverted shields to the aft of the ship. The X-Wings were in a standard echelon formation coming in from his right rear. "Only one way out of this now he thought". He slowed up and made a hard right lining up directly in front of them, and then slamming the throttles forward. He moved the shield s to full front, and let two laser bursts go. The X-Wings split up which was his intentions. He zeroed in on the closet one. Coming in directly behind him and letting four quick laser blasts go before the X-Wing Exploded. DarkHawk pulled up hard on the stick to avoiding the aftershock of the explosion. Hitting his HUD and the next X-Wing was targeted. It was about 1.5 clicks out to his left. He rolled left and moved in. The X-Wing made a hard right, DarkHawk cut his power to a third and compensated his bank. DarkHawk throttled up and came in to his left side, blasting right through the cockpit. BOOM!!!! Another explosion, he rolled right to avoid it. Coming up from the roll one of the remaining X-Wings fired in on him. His shipped rocked from the hit. Without hesitation, DarkHawk pulled the ship into a climb and rolled over top of the X-Wing. Throttling up to put some distance between them. He pushed one of his buttons on his throttle quadrant and his wings began to retract. He throttled up and made a massive hard right catching the X-Wing in a loop. DarkHawk pulled the trigger and cut through yet another victim. By this time he managed to put himself directly in front of the last remaining X-Wing. He selected missiles. Targeted the X-Wing and a second later he got a familiar tone. He launched a rocket and watched it head towards his target. He rolled up and right to avoid any type of after shock. As he glanced to see the rocket make its mark he saw the X-Wing unleash a burst of chaffs to avoid the rocket. The X-Wing bank right the rocket hit the chaff and exploded. DarkHawk yanked the stick to his left and moved in to pursue the last of the fighters. He moved in two clicks, one and a half clicks, good tone. He linked both rocket launchers together, not this time he thought. He let both rockets go, the X-Wing banked left and let another chaff burst go. But as he banked left one of the rockets caught him dead in the turn. Dark space lit up from the explosion, and DarkHawk let a little sigh of relief go. He punched in his coordinates once again; the nav buoy was just ahead. Just then his radar screeched, two more flight groups coming at him. "Don't have time to play with you boys anymore" he said. He slammed the throttles forward and reverted shields to engines. He hit the buoy mark and made the jump to light speed. DarkHawk was slammed back in his seat from the acceleration. What felt like minutes were only seconds. He came out of the jump and saw his command ship the Immortal, "Hello old girl" he said. He hit his COM switch:

"ISD Immortal this is LT DarkHawk, request permission to land"

"LT DarkHawk this is ISD Immortal, standby for ship verification"

"Roger" said DarkHawk

"LT DarkHawk ship verification complete permission to land confirmed opening Hanger Bay Kilo I"

DarkHawk lined his ship up with the opening bay doors and moved his ship in the hanger. The bay doors shut and he landed his ship in his regular spot. Red light, green light hanger bay is pressurized. DarkHawk killed the power to his ship, and popped the canopy. As he climbed down he heard a familiar voice, "Hey Hawk how was the op"? DarkHawk set his feet on the ground, pulled off his battle helmet and met his friend LT Gutt. "I am back so that tells you something," he said. DarkHawk's answers were usually cold and to the point. But ever since LT Gutt came to the squadron DarkHawk took a liking to him. "Yeah right" Gutt said, "I am sure you got a story or two to tell at the cantina" he said with a smirk. "Maybe" explained DarkHawk. Just then another voice came from the rear, "Did you get the Intel Hawk?" They spun around and saw their Commander DarkSaber. "Ten Hut" Gutt barked out. "At ease men" DarkSaber said. "Well" he continued. "Have I ever let you down sir" DarkHawk said with a smirk. At the same time he handed his commander a small disk. "Here is all the info on the station sir". "Everything we need to take it out is on there" I am sure you and Vice Admiral Adrenaline will find it useful" said DarkHawk. "Any resistance?" asked DarkSaber. "Nothing I could not handle myself" said DarkHawk. Just then LT Gutt grabbed his friend by the arm and said "I have got to hear this one, you coming sir, I am sure this is going to be good, especially when he is buying" "Save me a seat" DarkSaber said "I got to get this up to command and control". " I will make sure he does not start without you sir" Gutt said as they walked out of the hanger. LT Gutt and DarkHawk entered the turbolift, just as they entered Gutt noticed the second saber on DarkHawk's belt. "Where did that come from" as he pointed to the saber. "I picked it up along the way" replied DarkHawk. Gutt laughed, "You don't just pick those up along they Hawk, what happened out there". "Nothing" DarkHawk said coldly. Gutt laughed again, "I am glad you find this amusing Gutt" snickered DarkHawk. "What I find amusing Hawk, is that your going to be buying all the drinks while you tell me how you found that saber along the way." DarkHawk looked at the roof of the turbolift and then back at Gutt, "I can do that" he replied. Gutt put his arm around his partner and said "Hawk you have no choice in the matter."
