CPT Hello has been promoted to CMDR of Zayin Squadron!
CPT Morth (Yod) has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.
CPT Bret K'thraz (Yod) has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.
LCM Elvaron Starfire (Yod) has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.
LCM Red Fox (Yod) has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.
LT Deathangel (Yod) has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.
WING NEWS:
1) Some very sad news first, as you've probably seen, Major Jonathan, Commander of Yod Squadron has decided on stepping down to a Flight Member position in Yod, due to increasing RL business. Jon has been one of the best Commanders -ever- I've worked with and his work in Yod Squadron has been tremendous. Thanks Jonathan, for all of your work; I'm very glad you're staying in Wing IV :)
2) Hmm... secondly, the Quest for the Iron Star. This competition runs a few more days, until the31st. Remember there are three rounds to this competition, a FREE-TIE per round will be flown. The pilot with the highest total score at the end will earn an Iron Star with a Bronze Ribbon.
As an added incentive, the squadron with the best participation percentage in Round 1 (entries/pilots) will earn the January Wing Commander's Own title, and the squadron with the best combined participation in Round 2 and 3 will earn February's title :-) Get to work!
3) Well, I biffed again on announcing a meeting. But I guess we can try to have one tonight, after Outer Rim Night! So, meet in #wing_IV on the *Innernet* (type /server Espoo.FI.EU.innernet.org and /join #wing_IV) at 11:00 PM EST. I'm not sure if attendance will be terrific, but, you guys could head over to OR Night, then to the meeting ;) They're both on the Innernet.
4) Congrats to the five members of Yod who earned themselves Imperial Security Medals for their participation in the Yod Citation Competition.. Good work on helping Yod earn their 14 citations!!
5) Good luck to Zayin Squadron; those pilots are taking on Thunder Squadron in Wing X and are flying FREE-TIE 137.
6) Well, as you well know, tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and I want to see those Baltimore Ravens sombreros I embroidered, on everyone's head. Oh, and the designated "host" tomorrow is LCM Elvaron Starfire (who depleted my brain pill supplies single-handedly this morning! :/). I want the inflatable chairs pumped up, the cheese dip warm, and the liquor flowing freely ;P
7) Wing II and Wing V have overtaken us in membership!! I no longer hold the Sovereign Comfy Chair, for having the wing with the most pilots. Which means, we all need to get to work on recruiting :) Maybe I'll.. let people who successfully recruit sit in it :p
SHIP/FLEET NEWS:
1) Outer Rim Night is happening today. Go to #OuterRim on an Innernet server (see #3 above) and get flying. Visit ____ for more details and to get an OR ID #.
2) There is a new competition open to all squadrons; it's a "FCHG Race" competition, in which squadrons participate together to earn the most FCHG points in a certain amount of time. Participation from you guys would be nice :) It's up to squadrons though. Commanders, ask your squadrons if they'd be interested, please, and if you are, email CPT Marcin Szydlowski at by Feb. 10th!!!!
3) The new Iron Star system is in effect! Read about the medals to be given as awards for competitions at http://www.imperialacademy.org/is-mail.htm.
