1.19.2001 - RA Coolguy
Here is the COMM Office report for the week of January 12, 2000 to January 19, 2000
1) Thank you to Kumba for reccomending me to be COMM. I hope I will live up to all of your expectations and serve well as COMM.
2) As you know, it is my reccomendation that the EH moves to Undernet ircd servers provided by our own members. I believe this will get us quicker help to all problems possible, as we will be in control of the servers ourselves. Personally, I feel that InnerNet is too small right now to handle us without damaging their excellent conditions they currently have.
3) Because I left COMMA, I was in need of a replacement for that position. I spoke with a few people about this position before I became COMM, and I have decided to name HackSolo as my successor, not Ian Jackson as I orginally stated in an email about 2 weeks ago. HackSolo has a ton of experience with IRC things, and he currently runs his own eggdrop bot. I look forward to working with him in the future.
4) A VERY preliminary COMM site is up right now, but it currently can handle almost nothing. All it can do right now is display news and MoCs, I haven't even written the admin interfaces for those features yet. It also uses a very temporary design that i borrowed from another site of mine, but I am having Belzedar of the Imperial Senate create a new interface for the site.
5) The Senate MB was created, and various people finally got the admin access that they deserved on the MBs.
That's pretty much all... the EH meeting log from last week has been attached, though I'm sure you've already read it (I've attached the one provided by XO Kawolski)
