SAMEKH Squadron Report #7: CMDR/CM Wil_Striker Reporting:
SQUADRON NEWS
*CM Wil_Striker sits in his office behind a mountain of paperwork from all the BSF submissions for LCM RedTaz that have filtered in constantly all week!*
"Whew", what a week! LCM RedTaz was submitting me zip files crammed with missions all week long! I was beginning to think they would never stop! *Looks around the corner to be sure Taz isn't coming with another pile of paperwork.*
We have a brand new pilot that has joined our ranks this week from M/PLT Daedaleus! Welcome SL Pesk Vri'syk to Samekh and Flight 2. He takes the open position in 2-3, where he is happy to be flying a Missile Boat! Now to see if he is capable of handling its awesome power! hehe
On the sadder side of this, since we did receive a new pilot, we lost what citations we did have, and would have gained another this week thanks to LT Carl Starr. So lets get out there and fly those battles!
My apologies to LT Todrin Rossik for these past two weeks of thinking that he was just being a lazy sod! He was suffering from extreme computer problems, and therefore had no way until recently to notify me about his situation. :)
CM Wil_Striker received the Bronze Star of the Empire for his dedication and work to Wing V!
For those that may be wondering why the Samekh website has been down this week, the server that hosts it is currently undergoing a massive upgrade from a SCSI system to a full fiberoptic one. Needless to say, they have ran into a few minor difficulties, but have reported that they should be back online by this weekend! I'm looking forward to the new options that will be available once they are done. :)
As promised, the server has found the crux of their problem, and the Samekh site is now back online with the only casualties being my wits and the Flight 1 site. Seems they lost the webpages for it when it was transferred to the new system. Oh well, having to re-upload one site isn't so bad. Losing all of them would have sent me on a private mission with the squadron. hehe
On the recruiting front, LCM RedTaz and I have several new recruits that are in the works at this time. Once they complete their training they have promised to join us! For anyone else that is interested in what is required for recruiting new members, please feel free to contact me for further information. :)

WING NEWS
LC Gen Es'mith reports that his recruiting campaign is getting some great success! His initiative to create a new recruiting letter has given Wing V some great prospects from the M/PLT Daedaleus! Great job Gen!
LC Sickman, and CM Wil_Striker are also reporting success with their recruiting efforts! Wing V may see the roster showing 50 pilots soon! (Wow, I need a drink!) ;)
LC Sickman was appointed as the new Flight Nurse to Wing V! Welcome to the Wing V MedLab Nurse Sickman! His first duty was to create a certificate for drinking, and he accomplished that most effectively. hehe Not to mention that he was able to push my "medicinal" order of Corellian Ale through, and now we are fully stocked in the MedLab! :)
Wing V has a new MedLab, it is still under construction, so expect to see some changes in the coming weeks! But for now it can be found at http://wingvmedlab.homestead.com/files/medlab.htm

EH/TC NEWS
SA Compton has decided to step down as the XO for the EH! HA Kawolski has been appointed as the new XO in his place. SA Compton will be missed as the XO, and has served in this position for two glorious years.
The new Newsletter #70 is out and available for downloading or online reading. Lots of interesting information in it, I urge each of you to take some time and read it!
M/PLT Daedaleus reached the 6,000 mark this week, and has proceeded to blow right on past it!
The FCHG system is currently down due to problems after the recent upgrades.
For all the CMDR's a new Removal Request Form has been added to the Admin menu to facilitate transferring pilots that request transfer to the Reserves, as well as transferring any pilots that are in danger of going AWOL!

Well, with the addition of a new member we have lost our citations since at least 50% of the squadron has to fly the battle in order to receive them. So we need everyone to fly as many of the battles as you can so that we can get those citations back!

SAMEKH WEEKY COMPETITION
Only three submissions for this past weeks Squadron Battle. We really need more flight activity from the squadron, so everyone to your fighters!

This weeks Competition battle is going to be a bit different. Fly F-XWA #18, and make sure I get your pilot files by this Friday. No comments on commanding a VSD II, just go kill all the Rebel Cap ships you can get into range! :)
Since some members of the squadron are having a problem with finding time in RL to fly the full battles, I thought I would give you all a break this week and just give you a simple easy mission. Since LCM RedTaz and I have recently flown it, I will just use our scores from it, unless Taz decides to fly it again for a higher score. :)
