Kappa Squadron Report - January 8th, 2001 - CM Algaron

Happy New Year! (and Millenium!) to you all. In the absense of everyone
except myself over the Christmas and New Year period I temporarily took over
the reigns of Kappa Squadron - had a splendid time ordering myself around,
talking to myself in Airlock54, and I even an organized a small Kappa
competition (which I won incidentally!) - however I think awarding myself an
ISM would be taking it a bit far! :) Anyway, this report (covering the 2
weeks since Roasty's last) is the culmination of my efforts as Acting Kappa
Commander.
Hope everyone had a very enjoyable (and very drunk!) festive period, and now
are all refreshed and enthusiastic about returning to Kappa to continue the
progress we made throughout last year. 2001 could be a big year for us
Kappans - finishing 11th in SL2K (higher than many larger squadrons) proved
that we mean business, and now as the squadron grows in size we can only get
better. [End of Motivational Speech] Speaking of this would it be possible
for Roasty to pass on to me the final results from SL2K so I can update the
Kappa HP Status Page?

- A new Wing Comp is in progress organised by Wing Commander Inkwolf
- Give a big welcome back to LT Reb Crush who rejoins Kappa as a Flight
Member in Flight II - looks like I've got to some updating on both my sites
now! I guess this proves that once you've tried it you can only go so long
without the Kappa pin on your uniform!
- The Kappa HP has been modified slightly - namely the Roster (added Reb
back in), Gallery and Status screens have been updated

- Kappa received a Squadron Citation for CAB4 (flown by Roasty, Wem and
myself) - Yay! - then we lost it after Reb joined today - Boo! - so if
someone else flies it (all 17 missions worth) we will get it back - Yay!

aboard the Daedalus - recruitment should be a big priority for us at the
moment - just think what we could do with a full squad, we could take on the
whole galaxy single-handed.................. /me walks away to cool off!
