1.20.2001 - CM Osan'gar
Greetings all, and welcome to another addition of the
Hey Squadron report.
There is lots of news this week so listen up.
SQUADRON NEWS
-----------------------------------------
- LT Josh Popelka has been appointed the new FL of
Flight II. Congrats Josh, I'm sure you will do a great
job. LT Dan, Josh is your new FL so keep in contact
with him as well as me.
- LT Josh Popelka was awarded a PC for winning the
Flying catorgory in the W3CB.
- I was awarded a PC for winning the fiction catorgory
in the W3CB.
- LCM Tvan'Oris was awarded an ISM for dedication to
Hey squadron.
- The XWA league continues with myself, LT Josh
Popelka and LT Dan Jenkins having flown so far. The
deadline is tonight so get flying the rest of you.
Scores so far:
1. LT Josh Popelka - 5,399
2. LT Dan Jenkins - 4,435
3. CM Osan'gar - 3,645
Total so far = 13,419
I know we can do better than this, so Tvan'Oris and
Seth please try to fly this if you can.
- The comp with Dagger finished with them beating us
by a large margin.
LT Josh Popella was the only person who flew for Hey
but as myself and Seth don't own TIE, we couldn't fly
anyway. I think that we will stick to XWA comps in the
future following this poor showing.
- LT Josh was awarded a Golden TIE for winning this
comp. This puts the current standings like this
1. LT Josh Popelka - 2
2= LCM Seth Rommel - 1
2= LT Dan Jenkins - 1
As LT Josh is currently in the lead of the XWA league
standings, he may get another TIE as well. Once you
get five TIEs you get a missile boat and also some
kind of reward, but you'll have to find out what it is
when you get there.
- The change of the Wing III meeting times is
currently being changed, the new times should be
confirmed soon. The Wing III meeting is still at 6pm
GMT in #wing_iii tonight however.
- I passed the IWATs Computor Basics course.
- SL Praba and LT Renee D'Ancluade were AWOLed. This
leaves us at 5 pilots so get recruiting everyone.
- I don't think our MB works anymore. We may have to
change back to the one on the TC.org domain.
WING NEWS

- Read Sas's Wing report when it comes out next
Wednesday. I don't know why I bother putting this
section here as I always tell you to read Sas's Wing
Report and nothing else.
If I was informed of things I could put something in
here. j/k :P
FLEET NEWS

- IWATS Core passes 2000

The IWATS Core course just passed two thousand
graduates (2,000), making it still the most successful
IWATS course ever. The next closest course in terms of
graduates is mIRC/1 with nearl 900. The IWATS Core
graduates form roughly 32% of the overall IWATS
graduates

Something important I forgot to mention in my Sov
Report that just couldn't wait until Sunday.
Every month I review squadrons for the COM's Own
award, and most of the time I withhold it for one
reason or another. This month, I was going to award it
to Sigma Squadron of Wing II, but decided that the
continued level of excellence the pilots of Sigma
exhibit deserves a higher honor than COM's Own.
After consultation with LC Inkwolf, I've decided to
name Sigma the official escort squadron of the Sov
Flag Officers for the first quarter of the year.
Congratulations to all Sigmans on a job VERY well
done!!

after all the mails I've typed today and I'm finishing
