Tartarus WSR 21/01/2001 - LC
Woobee reporting in.
The office of Tartarus CMDR, LC Woobee...
All is quiet but for the muted chirping of Woobee's Personal Data Unit.
Suddenly the room is lit up by harsh white strip lights. Woobee bursts through
the door in a flurry of hastily packed luggage and dishevelled clothing. Quickly
he flings stuff out of the way and starts working on things at his PDU as he
simultaneously changes clothes and pulls stuff out of drawers. After an hour of
frenzied activity, Woobee hits the >send< button on his PDU to submit this
report, and then leaps out the door, leaving a once again quiet, dark room with
only the muted chirping of Woobee's PDU.
G'day all, busy week for me, first as CMDR of the
squadron. There is lots of news for you all to read this week so I'll just get
on with it.
News
Welcome to Tartarus squadron LT Leslaw, newly returned
from the reserves! You shall have many fun adventures on the ISD Grey
Wolf.
I have made great progress with our new Tartarus Squadron
website at http://www.powerup.com.au/~rbmcd/tartarus/.
I will keep working on it until it is pretty. I
invite any of the members of the squad with a talent for
graphics to design the new Tartarus Squadron Banner! The website is currently
very starved of graphics, and all contributions would be highly
appreciated.
I have also formulated and published approved standing
orders for Tartarus Squadron. They are available at the Tartarus Squadron
Website. I will list them here now for your convenience. Please read and
heed!
Tartarus Squadron Standing Orders
These standing orders are
intended to complement standing orders defined at higher levels in the EH
heirarchy, and should be considered in conjunction with other regulations and
codes of conduct.
Pilot Participation
There is a minimum level of participation in squadron
activity. All pilots are required, as a bare minimum, to participate in Tartarus
Squadron 100% Competitions, conceived and run by the CMDR. As CMDR, I will
personally see to it that the Tartarus Squadron 100% Competions are designed
such that all pilots have a fair chance of participating. Pilots who modify
their TC leave status to indicate that they are officially on leave are excused
from this requirement. Pilots who fail to meet this very simple level of
participation will be required to explain themselves to the CMDR, and may face
disciplinary action, at the discretion of the CMDR, Wing XIII WC, and ISD Grey
Wolf COM.
You have all been notified via email of our shiny squadron
competition! A link to it is in the War Room at the Tartarus Squadron Website,

I look very forward to seeing pilot files from you all for it! Yes, this
competition IS a Tartarus Squadron 100% Competition. You all have plenty of time
to send me an entry. I look very forward to awarding some very nice medals to
the winners.
BSFs seem to be being delayed by obvious problems with the
TAC. So yes, I am submitting your pilot files very quickly, but approvals are
coming extremely slowly. Thank you for your patience during this time.

endlessly, did BSFs again for the first time in a long while, organized a brand
new MB for Tartarus squad, worked on the brand new Tartarus Squad Website, and
generally settled into the role of being a CMDR again. I'll try and get into the
cockpit of my TIE Interceptor next week.

on IRC. Reports having played three WoW matches over the weekend. Is now on
leave until the begining of February.
