Aggressor Strike Force
Report #31
1.14.2001 - AD Priyum Patel
Greetings all...
As you may all know, FO-TCCOM/AD Theo has appointed me as his new Command Attaché. Since this is a full-time position, I'm no longer ASF Battlegroup Commander, and this is therefore my last report for the ASF as it's Commander.
This may or may not have come as a surprise to some of you. There's one question I've been asked a lot over the past 3 days: Why am I giving up my position as a Battlegroup Commander for CA?
Well...I simply thought that a change would do me good, and do the ASF some good. I've been in the ASF for the vast majority of my TC career...2 months as Avenger Commander, 6+ months as Vanguard Commodore and almost 10 months as BGCOM. I think there probably comes a time when, no matter what position you're in, that you feel you need to move on. Its not because you can't do the job any more, or that you've stopped enjoying it, but because you've put everything into it, as many viable ideas and plans as you can think of, and there's nothing more you can do. Well...that's how I was beginning to feel. I thought that the ASF deserved someone new - someone with fresh ideas and a different way of thinking.
I'd like to think that during my tenure as BGCOM, the ASF has become a better place for pilots to be a part of. I've certainly enjoyed my time - and you're all to thank for that. You're a great bunch of pilots, with some great Flag Officers leading you. I don't know who AD Theo will be picking to replace me, but I'm sure that whoever it is, they'll see fit to lead the ASF to greater heights of glory and recognition.
As for myself, I'll still be around - I'll be on IRC often and available to offer you any help should you need it - one of my primary duties as CA:FO.
Once again, my thanks to the ASF and her pilots! :)
Most respectfully,
Admiral Priyum
