The Beginning - CM Ginji
So much had happened before all the fighting between the Rebels and Imperials had taken place. In fact, they were all best of friends, years ago, in this little fiction in which will be told to you.
It was a simple, basic, and carefree civilization. One thing they were goof at was upholding the peace. For centuries, war had not broken out anywhere in the galaxy. Peaceful and Quiet times were what made this civilization so great. It was definitely one of the best times for industry to develop to even higher levels.
The government was an extremely organized one. You had the President, the Vice-President, the secretaries, the lawyers, the judges, and everything else. Basic, but organized and effective. The peace was upheld so greatly that the police force of the galaxy only consisted of 100 members. The Fire Department of the Galaxy consisted of 150 members, 100 of which also made up the Doctor’s, Nurse’s, and Surgeons of the Galaxy.
Very organized indeed, thanks to none other, than the galaxies very own, President Lucas. President Lucas was all for three things: Fun, Entertainment, and Organization. He held many events such as pod racing, Running, Swimming, Diving, Sky Diving, and Aerobatics. Any sport that was ever played in the history of the universe was played in a contest in the galaxy under Lucas.
Around 20 years after the death of Lucas, his son took the position of President of the Galaxy. In the years of his ruling, the worst thing had happened. During his rule, was the beginning of the galaxies largest rivalry.
Palpatine was the one who destroyed Lucas. Ackbar, who was originally a friend of Palpatines, was the only one who saw and knew that he had done it. 20 years they have been fighting about it and getting supporters and followers. People who did not care had had done it, joined and supported Palpatine (The Imperials). However, even a greater amount of people believed and cared that he had done it, so they joined and supported Ackbar (The Rebels).
So a war that would last for the next 79 ½ years erupted to a bloody start. As time progressed, more and more reasons began to just pile up as to why the rivalry, and the war for that matter, should continue to exist.
One of the biggest battles of this war was the battle of Coroscaunt. Both the Imperials and the Rebels wanted to claim the planet for themselves. Therefore, both sides gathered their entire fleets and fought for a full year. In addition, what a bloody year it was.
Destruction everywhere. So many deaths, including the inhabitants of Coroscaunt. There was so much destruction that by the time that the Imperials had won the battle, all that was left was a mountain, which had gigantic and magnificent structures going up it, and then 5000 homes and shops and industries around the base of the mountain.
5 years before the end of the war, Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Under his rule as Lord of the Imperials, the rebels were staring to lose their numbers at a rapid rate. The war ended with the rebels retreating. For the next number of years, battles would erupt here and there. Only the last one ended the stream of battles and the rivalry itself, but that will have to wait until some other time.
