High Level Defectors Seek to Escape Justice - CPT Katherine Cantor Flyer

Khameir Sarin; Mell Kerrigan and Others Declared Enemies of the EH

Former Executive Officer Khameir Sarin, retired Flight Officer Mell Kerrigan, Recon Officer Ky Terrak, and former Director of Operations Reinthaler have been declared enemies of the Emperor’s Hammer, according to a statement released today by Grand Admiral Astatine and Sector Admiral Cyric.
The news hit just two days after the controversial removal of Sarin from the Executive Officer position. The Grand Admiral asked not to comment.
Sarin’s removal prompted the immediate resignation of Kerrigan, Terrak and Reinthaler amid a storm of accusations, stirring fears that a mass defection was similar to the one experience two years ago was imminent.
“Astatine has crossed the line many times and this time its to far,” Terrak said in a prepared statement shortly before fleeing Imperial authorities. “Sarin is an excellent officer and is very dedicated to helping the EH prosper.”
Loyal Imperials fired back on official channels, charging that the defectors had chosen to leave the Emperor’s Hammer for selfish reasons. The traitorous actions of Sarin and his gang seemed to reinforce that accusation as the Triad, an Imperial Colony governed by Reinthaler, broke all communication with Aurora Prime a few hours after the news broke.
“Their actions have proven well enough that they only care about themselves,” said Gelton Torr, Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood of Jedi. “About keeping their positions of power like within the PA, their own agendas. Following them only means furthering their intentions not your own.”
Following their resignations, Sarin and his followers have fled Imperial justice, closely pursued by Imperial Intelligence. The elite Praetorian Squadron was dispatched to locate and destroy Sarin’s shuttle, but he was able to slip across EH borders undetected. Reports indicate that he has joined the Rogue Dark Brotherhood, saying that he has “finally come home.”
“His statements upon his escape indicate that he was probably a rogue defector placed in our midst,” said an Imperial Intelligence officer on the condition of anonymity. “His expulsion can only mean that he can no longer pass on sensitive information to the rogues.”
Sarin’s flight comes only a few months after his triumphant ascent to Executive Officer, in which he was hailed as a well-respected Dark Jedi Master. His firing came amid accusations of corruption and fostering conflict within the TIE Corps.
Although a substantial reward has been offered for the capture of the defectors, all prospective bounty hunters are reminded that Sarin is a powerful Dark Jedi Master and an accomplished bounty hunter himself.
Imperial Intelligence and the Bounty Hunters Guild advises that the best means of bringing the rogue Sarin to justice is to shoot to kill.
