Design Specs for TIE Subjugator – v 3.1
Priority: Top
Secret
Introduction:
Admiral. You asked MAJ Archangel a while ago to
design a new TIE edition fighter to replace the TIE Advanced, and the TIE
Defender in the ranks. It was meant to be cheap, and it was meant to be low
maintenance, as well as faster, stronger, more
powerful than the former two fighters. I believe, with this design, he have fulfilled all your specs, and more.
History:
The TIE Subjugator
was originally known as the TIE XP-4119 Prototype class G. It went into
development after the ancient TIE Advanced began to be outfought, and
outclassed by the New Republic fighters. It was decided that the TIE
Advanced would need to be replaced with a far superior craft: superior to the
TIE Advanced and to its New Republic enemies.
A group of experts
lead by MAJ Archangel was set up to find new ways to increase performance of
the craft that they would need to design. A list of specifications was drawn up
for the job:
-
Speed
must be in excess of 180 with full charge to weapons and shields. This is
required for long battles, and for protect of the pilot. Without this, the
pilot would only have shields to care for his safety, because the speed of the
craft is reduced substantially when shields or lasers are being charged.
-
Minimum
laser configuration must be 4 lasers, set out in either a diamond, or
rectangular configuration. Any additions to this set up must be in a concentric
pattern, and preferable a mix of ion cannons and laser cannons, because it will
increase the usage possibility for the craft.
-
Maximum
Stability is required, because of the many roles this fighter would need to
accomplish. The stability will help when on recon missions, or fighter/bomber
missions where the fighter will need to dive-bomb enemy cruisers.
-
Fast
maneuverability is crucial to the survival of the craft, and it’s
pilot, and for the movements required in a dogfight. This fighter would be
needed to fight off enemy E-Wings, and A-Wings, which excel in close quarters
dog fighting.
-
Newest
internal equipment available would be needed for the handling of the craft,
such as Irotk 5-l Sensor pack, which can detect an enemy fighter at a range of
almost 30 klicks. Also, a new hyperdrive would be needed to make recon
missions, and hit and run missions easier, and more cost-effective.
The final craft
design was constructed with care, and put through its paces at the Science
Office’s “Gauntlet”. To be sure, Major Archangel did the testing himself, with
4 others. It passed with the following scores:

As
you can see from looking at the test results, this craft performed admirably. Just for reference, MAJ Archangel was
tester D.
Conclusion:
All the testers
agree, as do MAJ Archangel, and myself, that this is an amazing craft. The
Science Office has exceeded itself this time.
