Casino Imperiale Report - CM Fahrer
We were assigned to protect the transfer of the EHBL Maschines to the ISD Relentless. As usual, I was in MIS Hammer 3-1.
We were ordered to form a defensive formation and prepare to escort the transports. Soon after that, the maschines and data, boarded upon a few standard shuttles, were launched from the FRG Fogger and headed for the Relentless. We entered formation with them. From what we knew, no trouble was expected.
Naturally, an enemy CRL and CRS jumped out of hyperspace and launched an assault on the cargo shuttles and the ISD respectively. Flight I took out the A-Wings attacking the shuttle, Flight II engaged other starfighters, and we headed for the CRL. I noticed that the enemy was concentrating their attacks on the fourth shuttle, the one that contained the EHBL data, and so did my Commander. Realising that the attack was actually aimed at the EHBL data, all fighters were called back to cover it. Under our protection, the Shuttles entered the hangar of the ISD. Unfortunately, the data had to be ejected out of the shuttle due to the danger and was stored on a simple droid. The Freighter Ray of Light entered the area and took the droid before we could do anything. The enemy fighters were quickly finished and the attack was stopped.
Sword squadron were sent to retrieve the droid. It contained valuable data and had to be returned. It appears a rogue dark Jedi had stolen it, so the fighters and transports were equipped with appropriate measures against the Jedi's powers.
She was trying to sell the droid to the New Republic, but Sword managed to capture her CORT and bring it back to us. Meanwhile, we were sent to investigate how the Republic knew of the data transfer. Following an escape pod from the CRS, we arrived at a small enemy outpost. The platform and the frigate there were quickly disabled. Apparently all fighters had been assigned to the attack, because nobody was guarding them. The Commander called for reinforcements and two ATRs arrived to capture the station. They did so and no opposition was encountered. We came back to the ISD and landed. It was requested we are present at the interrogation. Before we could get on with it, however, one of the prisoners, who had managed to hide away several detonators, blew up himself and the others, as well as half the prison room. All prisoners were killed, so we could not question them. The troopers guarding the cell were injured, but not too bad. Our commander himself was hit by the explosion, and the squadron was dismissed until he was healed.
It appears Spear squadron managed to get the data droid, which Sword somehow missed. I don't know what has happened there, but I sure like the fact they were succesfull.
