| Venator-class Star Destroyers - TCH Taku Bismuth
The Venator Class is the class of Star Destroyer that is
used by the Republic in Episode III. The Venator looks much
like a regular Imperial SD except for two distinct
differences. Instead of just one tower for command the
Venator has two. The other difference is what looks like
two chunks that were taken out of each side. These two
areas are twin docking ports located on on both flanks of
the ship towards the ion thrusters. These two bays can be
used for docking with larger ships or space stations and
for moving troops and material in and out of the ship.
The Venator Class was created to replace the Victory Class
( Hint! Hint! Science office) The Venator class is better
armed and can support at least 30 times as many
starfighters as the Victory Class. Though the Venator class
does has its flaws. Typical Imperial arrogances has the two
command towers elevated above the rest of the ship. This
makes them perfect targets for enemy gunners and
starfighters. For example the Executer may have survived
the Battle of Endor if the command tower had not been
destroyed. Also compared to the Imperial Class Star
Destroyer that replaced the Venator the Venator is nothing
much but a Venator-Class Star Destroyer would make a fine
replacement for the Corporate Divisions aging VSD.
