What to CPT Vexan's friends and family really think of her?

Well, first I have to start on a sad note. When I e-mailed Vexan’s sister, CPT Dontal, I got a reply from their father, SA Renegade, which said: -

“I am sorry; I am RTO\SA "Pappy" Renegade\IW (ret), CPT Dontal's and CPT Vexen's father.  I am afraid that CPT Dontal had a very bad tragedy this past week and is in the hospital.  She will be there for a very long time.”

I am sorry to hear about this, and all of the Battlecry staff (and probably every EH member) wishes CPT Dontal a quick recovery.

To continue on though, this is what some of CPT Vexan’s friends and relatives had to say about her: -

I can tell you that I am very proud of what Vexie has done in the EH.  When she has a goal to accomplish, she will work very hard at seeing it through to the finish.

She has a very high set of values that I like to think I had something to do with, but her EH career is hers and hers alone.  She has never tried to cash in on the fact that I was considered to be a "legend" in the EH.  She has refused to accept anything in the EH that she did not work for.

In her EH career, she is loyal, dedicated and a go-getter.  She has turned down offers to become a CMDR so she could stay in Typhoon with COL Callista.

RTO\SA "Pappy" Renegade\IW\EH (retired)

Vexie has been in the squad since I joined back in January 1999.  I think that says a lot about her loyalty and dedication to the squad and her CMDR.  She's constantly proved her worth and skill, participating in every comp Typhoon has entered and she seems to go above and beyond the call of duty on almost a weekly basis!  In fact, I can't imagine a Typhoon without the likes of Callista, Vader and, in particular, Vexie. She brings activity, humour and a happy atmosphere to the squad and is loved by everyone.  Truth be known, I envy her :P

She's got quite a reputation to live up to, with a successful sister in the IW and having the illustrious 'Renegade' Pappy to live up to, but if you ask me, she's done a damn fine job.  Considering the EH is composed of mainly late-teens guys, to find an early-teens girl with such skill and devotion is a rare but welcome surprise.

Keep flying fast and kicking ass Vexie, this recognition is long overdue.  Just take it easy on that root beer babe ;)

CPT Vexan is one of the most dedicated officers in the fleet. If she sets a goal for herself to achieve, you can be damn sure she'll achieve it. It's an honour to serve with such a fine officer and all-round nice person (to Imperials, mind you ;-)).

Her receiving the Grand Order of the Emperor award puts even more emphasis on the fact that she is one of the most active pilots in the fleet. Her dedication is an inspiration to all who have the good fortune of getting to know this outstanding officer. CPT Vexan, I salute you.

When I first joined Typhoon Squadron about a year ago, Vexie was one of my wingmates in Flight II, led by the then-LCM Oldham (now an LC - go figure :P).  She was always diligent, intelligent, and an extremely capable pilot, which is rather a-typical of thirteen-ish-year-old girls...when I was thirteen, most girls were into cheesy boy bands and stuff like that, swearing they were going to marry Bobby from the New Kids Take That On The Steps, or whatever (:P), and wouldn't know a TIE Fighter if it fired a Space Bomb at their house.  I guess that sums up Vexie in a simple fashion. Anything but ordinary.  But that's why we all count her as a friend, because let's face it, Wing X is anything but ordinary (/Cheap Plug :P)

Vexie has been in my squadron for about one and a half years now, and she's been my friend ever since. She's an awesome young lady, in every respect, always concerned about the other pilots, very communicative, very active in flying and doing other things such as writing fiction or designing graphics, and she never lets me down when it comes to competitions. To sum up, she's the pilot every Commander wishes to have but rather seldom has the honour to serve with. The GoE she got finally rewarded her for her continuous service, and it's more than well deserved. I hope her time in Typhoon will be long.

Respectfully,
