...and he stood like a God
by CMDR/CPT Werdna Elbee

Throughout the years people have been trying to find their God. Everyone presumes that there is some form of "higher power". The religious believe that their Gods are like people, albeit very powerful people. The scientists believe in rational explanations involving powerful cosmic forces (completely unproven, of course). Members of Scientology, <cough>paying members<cough>, think that aliens placed us all on Earth and someday they will come back to rule us. Soldiers find a purpose fighting for the greater good, believing that their country is worth dying for.

I've been wondering lately what it is that I believe in. Which of these greater powers is the right choice? It's remarkably hard to do, especially considering I'm a atheist, realist, money-grabbing pacifist. So what does this mean? What do I believe is the highest power in the Universe? Using my gradual cancelling down, and my deductive reasoning, I realised this...

I am the highest power in the Universe!!!

Please just hear me out before you start sending complaints my way. I have never seen a God. I have never seen a big bang, or any proof of other scientific theories which make up the majority of today's science. I've certainly never seen an alien. And as for my country, my country wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the people in it...which I'm one of!!!

I am completely real. You can see me, hear me, smell me, feel me and taste me (although I doubt many people would want to). Compared to all of the above unproven great things I am the most believable. So working it all out, the odds suggest that I am the greatest power of all.

Of course you could point out that other people are equal to me and are just as powerful. Surely that should make them the all-mighty too. But 99.9% of the worlds population believe in a God of some kind, and the rest believe in science. They all think that there is someone or something better than them. They will be the first to admit that they aren't the greatest beings in the Universe. From their own mouth they admit they don't consider themselves as great as I concluded I am.

Many gaps and loopholes may seem apparent in my theory. I'm not saying that I have 100% proof that I am a God, but technically I have more proof than any other theory. There is proof of my existence, and there is no other God around to prove they are greater than me. The most simple, logical conclusion dictates that...

I am the highest power in the Universe!!!
