Hello everyone, sit back, relax, have a bottle of Hot damn…its time for the 7th report! I found it funny how the 7th report is sent on Sunday the 13th…Anyway on to the report! We had quite a week this week!

First of all, we got a new pilot, welcome MAJ Blade to Krayt Squadron! MAJ Blade is one of our seasoned veterans, and he decided to return from the Reserves and join up with Krayt Squadron. Watch out in the Activity comp guys;P

On another note, MAJ Phantom sent me the WME this week, medals should be awarded soon, we just have to work out a few things before we can award medals/promotions.

Might I add that you guys have tons of great competitions to participate at, you can do Flight office comps, there’s a BIG SHIP COMP going on, and there’s the Anna Darksaber BG Comp which is also a good one. And to certain squadrons, the SSL.

Speaking of the SSL, I think Diamondback is the only Wing XIV Squadron to make it to the playoffs, I’d like to congratulate them, keep it up guys, you can win this;)

I’d also like to add that Admiral Darksaber is on leave for about a week, VA Khadgar is doing some BG Stuff to compensate.

IRC Quote of the Week (QotW)

Starting this week, I will begin selecting an IRC Quote of the Week for inclusion in the COMM report, and to be displayed on the upcoming new COMM site.

What can the QotW be you might ask? It can be pretty much anything amusing or taken out of context said on IRC in an EH channel.

Nominations for QotW can be sent to me at io@absolutek.ca. The person who submits the QotW will have there name prominently displayed beside the winning entry, and possibly at a later date, win a medal (I will have to talk to the TO first though). Any EH member from any subgroup may submita QotW nomination.

Parallax War

Parallax War will start on the 15th of July. It wíll include the TRA and the FES on the beginning. More clubs join soon. It will be held daily in #Parallax on Undernet and same Bot System as in the daily comps are used. NOTE: As long as the Parallax War are underway ALL daily comps are cancled. They will start on 1st August again!

I shall be on-leave commencing tomorrow morning (Saturday 12th July) until the following Saturday (19th July) to attend a conference and have a short vacation.

During this time, the Flight Officer shall be grading the IWATS CORE Course. All other questions, comments etc. should still be directed to me, but please be aware that there will be a short delay in answering them until I return.

Something a bit off topic...I came across a brief review of a site depicting ships and their relative sizes in a UK magazine (Focus, 4/5). The site's pretty good with some interactivity - you can move the ships around and overlay them with each other. It's located at http://mirror.wolffelaar.nl/zardalu.sytes.net/ and contains Star Wars ships as well as those from other universes (Bablyon 5, Star Trek etc).

Avenger Recruitment Competition

First round matches are delayed until July 14th to allow people more time to sign up. Boo says do it now.

-CM CrimsonFury won the ASF Banner comp.
-The “Anna Darksaber” competition is in place! You can write fiction, do GFX or build battles for this competition! Everything you do for this comp will also count for the Intrepid Top Squad activity comp if you send it to Phantom and I aswell.

-ISD-II Intrepid Top Squad activity comp is in motion!
-SSL playoffs round one is on!
-We have a new banner created by CM Justin
-Our webpage got some new news, go look at it!

What can I say? Fly, Have fun…Recruit…and Fly! You guys can even make recruiting fun! There can even be a recruitment comp, just get points for the Activity comp, fly, have fun, and get some more members in here so we can have more fun with more pilots and fly a lot more.

As you can see, I have overused the words Fun, and Fly, because they are the two main things in this club, don’t you just want to recruit others so they can have fun and fly aswell?
