Ahoy to the crew of the ISD-II Intrepid! I bring you another Commodore report today, on a few happy notes, and some sad notes. All which will be covered in the report. MSEs are due, they should be in by now.

The Buzz this week was around the new ISD-II Intrepid competition that was made! Indeed, its much like the ASF SC, except for the ship. The winning squadron gets to be WCs own, and the top pilot gets to be the COM Protector. In addition there will be an array of medals to be given for top pilot in each category! Definitely a comp for the books! Be sure to participate.

After asking AD Darksaber to participate at our ship comp, he has agreed! And he joins Phantom and I in the “Intrepid Flag Squadron” of course, Admiral Darksaber is already on board the ship, isn’t it natural he participate?:P

Another item in the Emperor’s Hammer this week was the HCI case of our Executive officer. The case can be seen on the HCI page, and the punishment has taken place. HA Priyum Patel is answering any questions you may have on the matter, you can catch him on IRC his nick is “`MortE”. Of course you could always ask Phantom or myself if you want.

This week, at the beginning of the activity comp, CM Justin sent me a nice graphic for the ISD-II Intrepid, that graphic happened to have the nickname and motto of the ship, and can now be seen on the ship’s roster! Yes, congratulations to CM Justin for creating our new ship Banner!

Recent Appointments

Following MAJ Devin's removal as Wing Commander of Wing V (anyone heard from him?), Admiral Proton has selected a replacement WC. Congratulations to Colonel Gen Es'mith! Gen is a hugely experienced Officer and should do a fine job in leading Wing.

Lieutenant Colonel Turr Phennir has stepped down as Praetorian Commander and taken up a Flight Member's position in the Squadron. Myself and SDIR/VA Mordann would like to thank Turr for all the work he's put into the Squadron over the past several months. We've also agreed on the new CMDR, congratulations go out to Colonel Andrzej Mezynski!

TAC on leave

I will be on leave, starting this Wednesday (9th) and ending next Monday (11th), spending time and having time on EH Poland Meeting III. Philo is in charge of the office :)

"Alex Foley has organized another new service for the EH. Using the source code from www.pastebin.com, he has created the brand new EH Code Collaboration (CC) site at http://code.minos.net, with help from Xander Drax on a great design. The CC is a place for you to post any code you're having trouble with and have your fellow PHP developers help you work out the bugs! Just make sure to include any comments about what's wrong at the top!

I'm also happy to announce that the planning stages of EH Wargames are nearly over. Today marks the beginning of the CODING STAGE. After some heated debate about which type of database we will use, I have concluded that PostgreSQL will best suit our needs. I am also putting out the call for ALL PHP DEVELOPERS in the EH. We need coders! You should have at least some experience with creating database-driven applications. Don't worry if you're not familiar with PGSQL - it's very similar to MySQL in terms of actual syntax, and the differences aren't hard to learn. If you're interested in helping out with PHP coding of EH Wargames, send an e-mail to ari@tiecorps.org with how long you've been coding PHP, when/how you can be contacted (especially on IRC), along with any and all example sites you can give with your work. Not everyone will be accepted, because there are certain levels of experience we may need. Please do apply, though!

However, I do want to encourage all PHP developers to send me an e-mail anyway with their skills and experience, so as to create an informal developer's network. That way whenever I need to contact someone to do a PHP project, I can have email addresses readily available. So please, even if you're not interested in EHW, e-mail ari@tiecorps.org."

Avenger Recruitment Competition

Have you ever thought you had what it takes to be an Avenger? Now's your chance to prove it! The first-ever Avenger pilot recruitment competition will begin July 7th. Open to both XvT and XWA divisions, this will pit the best MP pilots in the fleet against each other to win invitations to join the best. This is open to all pilots in the EH. IS-GWs will be awarded to top pilots in each division, IS-SW to 2nd place, and IS-BW to 3rd. The top finishers in each division, if not in Avenger already, >:P, will be invited to join. You do not have to accept the invitation to win the medals or participate.

There will be a round-robin to determine the top 8 finishers in each division, which will then battle double elimination to determine the top guns in each division! Enter by emailing eggpine@hotmail.com and letting me know what division you wish to enter. You may enter in both divisions if you wish. Enter by July 5th, and first-round matches will go out July 7th. Good luck to all!

XWA Mission Tutorial

The new XWA Custom Mission Tutorial site is now up. Written by VA RogueWing, it shows detailed steps on how to create new custom missions for XWA. Each step includes pictures for easy reference. This site was written for people who have never done any mission editing before, and should be fairly easy to follow. It can be found at http://www.minos.net/~immortal/noob/index.html

Emperor's Hammer Mission Compendium hits 3000 missions online!!!

I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. And now, my dream came true. 10 minutes ago, I have added 3000th mission to our mission compendium, and we have achieved another great milestone: 3000 missions online. Since I took over the TAC, I have set TAC3K as my primary objective. And, after 6 months, I have finally achieved it. Of course it would not be possible without hard work and dedication of entire Tactical Staff, and Tactical Officers before me. I would like to thank the following people:

Former Tactical Officer: SA Kawolski and HA Striker, FA Starlion
Former Tactical Coordinators: Drako, Gord Darkonian, Tissaya Argat, Mark Schueler, Pellaeon, Enahropes, CrazyR2 (and all those I forgot)
My Tactical Staff: Philo, Styles, Apophis Kuma and Master (your cookies are inbound)
And all people who supported me by testing and correction and of course submitting new battles and free missions
I really appreciate your hard work and I herby set another goal for my office: TAC5K! When will we hit it? I have no idea. It took me 6 months to release 700 missions, so we will see. And now, let's celebrate!!!! Drinks on me!!!

FO's History Competition

I noticed the other day my lack of an Imperial Pilot Navy Record (INPR). Now I know I wrote one many moons ago under the constant bugging of my then CMDR, General Sasquatch (now Elite Omega CMDR), but finding it proved unsuccessful. So rather than rewriting it, I thought it might be interesting to get members of the TIE Corps to submit their own versions, with awards going for the best entries.

Submissions can be serious or humorous, the only criteria is that they be in good taste and have a good amount of content. Send them attached as either .doc or .txt files to spellfire@btinternet.com by July 13th. After this I'll decide on the winning entry and post all submissions for viewing.

Hints of the Week: Fly! Joey Flew…SO CAN YOU! I’m seeing a lot of activity which is good, a hint of advice, if you’re having trouble with a mission, contact your CMDR about it, if he can’t answer, go to the WC, and if she cannot answer, you ask the COM…who will definitely answer:P

Other then that, I can say this 1 bizzillion times every week, PARTICIPATE AT COMPS! When you do that, the flags know your good, and so does your CMDR, and those 3 ppl are the ones that decide when and if you get promoted or awarded a medal, so fly, and participate at comps, its not hard;)
