Hornet Squadron News:

I spent a bit of time scanning all the competitions currently running that are applicable for you boys and have put *all* of them into the Competitions section! Take a gander and fly/write/GFX.

I still haven't heard anything from Taurnil yet, but everyone else has emailed me this week! w00t!

We're now at 9 pilots and 0 citations! Yay for the pilots, boo for the citations :(

Personnel Transfers:

- Hornet Squadron has gained 2 more pilots!:

• Welcome in SL Taurnil Veers, fresh off the Daedalus! Glad to see you here! 
• Also a big welcome to SL Carcharoth, fresh from the Dae too!

Current Competitions:

- There are currently several competitions running at the Squadron level, the Battlegroup level, and the Fleet-wide level. Hornet members should participate in as many of these as possible.

Fleet-wide Competitions: 

• #ehcoc MP Events: These will resume on August 1st, after Parallax war ends. Deadline: None
• XvT Week of War [Extended]: This has been extended at least an extra day due to Zone crash. Deadline: 7/26(27)/2003 
• XWA Week of War:  This is hosted at BSC and flown on the Zone. This competition starts today. Info can be found at Battlestats or on the Zone.  All Hornet members should try to participate at these! If you have any questions please email me! Deadline: 8/1/2003

• A Hero's Flag: Design a "Memorial Flag" for those EH members who have died while serving. This is the flag that was draped over the casket and then given to the families of soldiers after the person is buried. Deadline: 8/4/2003 http://emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=737 

Battlegroup Competitions: 

• BGCOM's XvT/XWA WoW Incentive Comp: AD Darksaber awards IS-GW/IS-SW/IS-BW to the top 3 ASF winners in each WoW. Avenger's LC Az has a stranglehold on the top spot most months, who will step up to challenge him next? Deadline: None
• Anna Darksaber: http://emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=680 Basically, Darksaber finds out he has a sister and needs to save her from some warlord. Read the background info that is given at that link then go nuts writin' fiction, making GFX, making a battle for XWA or XvT. Deadline: 8/1/2003
