Copperhead Squadron Report #15

First for this report I would like to welcome Sub Lieutenant Shagen and many thanks to LCM Machinari for brining him to the EH and most notably our Squadron ;) :) . I expect our new Pilot to do much by way of Flying soon as i have not seen a single *.Plt yet ;) hehe.

Next is a new rant/praise :) . I would like to congratulate LCM Machinari on earning 2 more LoCs and moving from the rank of Trainee to Certified, beware everyone, Machs Certifiable and not afraid to lose it lol. Anyways , for my rant *ahem*.... MP, Multiplayer competition is what the Aggressor Strike Force is based primarily on Multi-Player Combat. For those pilots in my Squad that only fly TIE, all i ask is that you try to get XvT and or XWA as soon as you can please, as for the rest of you I find no problem for you to fly MP. this is Important to our squad and to the Ship. We of the Intrepid are pilots that have proven themselves very capable and earned the right and priviledge to be named the ASF Flagship for 2 years running ! This honor was not won Just from flying simulated enemies. Multiplayer Competition is avery Lucrative venture within the ASF and an honorable one and one that you dont lose anything on. When you win a fight you win a Legion of Combat medal, If you win 5 matches in the same Comp you win a DFC. If you dont win , which is likely you still gain the experience to grow as a pilot.

Multi-player competition can help you not only in Combat Rating and medal standings, It can help you become a better pilot in Single- Player too. A Game based pilot is nowhere as unpredictable nor as intelligent as a living person. Its a true challenge trying to climb the CR ranks, Trust me, Ive been through several WoWs and EHCOC Comps and its a struggle. But the experience you gain from MP will carry over to SP b/c you become sharper and more steady in flying. Flying battles on hard will become easier too. If you get good enough to get a HS on missions or Battles that really bolsters your FCHG with +5 instead of just the +1 of a single mission. Another plus is it looks really good when Promotion time comes along b/c it shows committment and dedication. Its sad but finding matches for comps can be hard sometimes. Well thats all for this rant *wipes sweat up*

Okay, I have a question for you all. Where are ya and what are you doing ? The only person seeming to do anything is LCM machinari, both MP and SP .. hmm . Ahh well, consider this your swift kick in the Aft ok everyone ? ;) If you have a reason for not being active tell me now either on IRC <if i'm on> or by email . you can use either account.

Our WC Phantom Is back : ) yay , yes her PC was sick with a Virus but now its all in the green :)

Copperhead is coming back ! Welcome to SL Shagen the newest Pilot, get to Work :). I hope everyone can pull some activity levels from the basement ! we could make WC Own , just need to work for it ! Lets show them the power Copperheads carry make them fear our bite. Lets put some more teeth in the Copperheads mouth, bring in more venom, Make those that look on us ph33r us :)

Commodore Promotions

I'm very pleased today to be able to honour two of the TIE Corps' best Flag Officers. Rear Admiral Indaro Gallia, COM of the ISD Colossus, and Rear Admiral Jahan Kalar, COM of the ISD Relentless, are both hereby promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral in recognition of the untiring support they give to their Ships and to the TIE Corps.

Myself and AD Krax hold both of these Officers in high regard and these promotions are very much deserved. Congrats guys!

The position of Wing XIII WC on the ISD Grey Wolf is now open to applications. Those wishing to apply should be able to meet the following requirements:

At least FOUR months experience as a Squadron Commander in the TIE Corps
No HCI convictions in the past 12 months
Familiarity with the online and offline aspects of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter
Be able to handle large amounts of email and admin within a short amount of time in an efficient manner
Be able to organise competitions / activity within the Wing and motivate those under your command
Be able to work in a mature attitude with all levels of command in the TIE Corps
Demonstrate that you have the drive and motivation to take command of a Wing and ensure it's growth and success

You may include up to 2 references from current or former superiors (get their permission first!). Applications should be sent to Admiral Darksaber and Vice Admiral Khadgar with the subject "Wing XIII WC" by Sunday 27th July.

Commendation of Loyalty Recommendations

The bi-annual awarding of the Commendation of Loyalty to members of the Emperor's Hammer who have displayed tremendous dedication to the Fleet is fast approaching. Details for the Tiecorps are listed below, refer to the Operations Office Report for other EH subgroups.

Each Squadron Commander can make recommendations to their Wing Commander who will choose three (3) members of their wing to receive the CoL and forward the names to their Commodore and Battlegroup Commodore. Each BGCOM may recommend up to three (3) more awards for their flag officers. The Battlegroup Commander will collate the awards for their battlegroup and forward the names (with pin numbers) to the Flight Officer (fo@emperorshammer.org) and myself (ops@emperorshammer.org).

Additionally, the Commander of each Elite Squadron may recommend one (1) of their members to receive the CoL. This should be sent directly to the Flight Officer and myself. Therefore the FO and I should only be receiving CoL recommendations from the Battlegroup Commanders and the Commanders of the Elite Squadrons.

All recommendations must be submitted to myself (and the Flight Officer) by the 19th of August. Late submissions will be rejected. If there are any questions, please ask and don't leave it until the last minute.

Finally a change in the old Corner, New topic MP :

To fly MP in a WoW (Week of War) you first need a battlestats account. to get one you must go to BattleStats.com and go to player information or just click on the following link:

http://www.battlestats.net/players/add/

Joining the EH on BAttlestats is Important !

When you are registered go to your profile and click New club the EHs ID number is 486, Just fill in the requested info, Under Comments please add your TC Pin# for verification.

From there, you look up the listings of the WoWs to see if there are any running. just click on the game , either XvT or XWA under Game Services. If the EH is listed as participating you can fly it. You next go to the Zone. MSN Game Zone that is. go to http://Zone.MSN.com . login with a MSN Passport then go down the page until you see All games, Click on that and Scroll to the bottom. Click on the Link to ZoneLAN-DirectPlay. From there you can enter either the XvT room or XWA room. In these rooms will be slots. If the title Lists WoW you can enter and have a match.

If you need help ask the other EH members that may be in there or those that may be online in #EHCOC as most are WoW Vets. But if you have the time or have questions, Please feel free to ask me questions or have me walk you through something :)
