- SQUADRON NEWS -


  • Today there will be an experimental ISD Intrepid meeting, you all are encouraged to join #wingxiv from 3:00 PM EST. This is just an experimental time as our Commodore is going to try another time or two before to decide the official one. Right after the meeting there will be Trivia and friendly MP open to all Wing XIV pilots, join and have fun!
  • Round #8 of Sovereign Squadrons League ends this Friday. As you already know this will be the last round of regular season and if we do well even in this last round Diamondback may qualify for play-offs in all three divisions meaning that we will be one of the 8 best squadrons in the Fleet for each category, a performance that only very few squadrons are going to match!

  • I'm very happy to see that some of you started to fly for FCHG points again and thanks to CPT Tvan'Oris and LCM Zhaim Jifarr our citations 263. If we continue on this way we may reach 300 citations quite soon so keep flooding my mailbox with your pilot files. As I said in my last report, when you're bored and want to turn off brain for a while, install a EH custom battle and hunt down the rebel scum :-)
  • Zhaim Jifarr passed IIC/3 IWATS course with a 100% score. Well done!

  • There will be no Diamondback Trivia this week. There're two important gfx contests currently on (ASF Banner and FO Banner, read the competitions report for more details) and I know some of you are very skilled with gfx so I wanted to leave you enough spare time to participate in these competitions.

Please double check that your emails are getting through to recipients. The IO is aware of the problems and is working to resolve them soon.

FO Banner Competition

The Flight Office is in need of TWO new banners, one general banner for the front page and a second to replace the ageing link banner (aww). The main banner can be of any size (within reason) and the link banner should be ideally 400x50 pixels. Format must be gif, jpeg, psp or bmp and should be sent zipped to spellfire@btinternet.com by Sunday 6th July at the latest. Also, remember to CC me your submissions so I'll know you participated!
 
The creator of the winning entry of each banner type will receive an Iron Star w/ Gold Ribbon. An IS-SR will go to second, and an IS-BR will go to 3rd and 4th places.
