CMDR/MAJ VinDoros Reporting in for Vampire Squadron, June 20th 2003

Squadron News:

Vampire has another pilot! We're up to 9 pilots now. Let's welcome SL Nurgas Hui to position 3-3! I've already been in contact with him a couple times. He's got lots of questions, and is already flying some battles. On the downside, our Citations went from 89, down too...52, i think. A couple battles I flew this week, and one that COL Arso flew brought us up to 57. Still pretty good. We'll just keep pluggin away at these, and they'll keep goin up, i'm sure :)

Other News:

After finding out that Vampire had a new pilot, Mosh's Gundark charged into the hangar bay after his arrival. As soon as he stepped off the transport, the Gundark jumped on him and licked his face. The resulting goo that Durgas had to wipe off took some time, as it is very slimy. Welcome aboard, Durgas ;)

Squadron Status/Orders:

Sov Squad League, Round 7, XWAF-102 is due by the end of today, EST. Again, we've still only got 4 submissions...that's less than 50% participation. Let's get in a couple more, guys ;)

BGCOMP-Fly XWAF-1 by the end of today, and send to the BGCOM at: Krax@ehnet.org Don't forget to .zip all submissions, or he'll delete your pilot file :/

Monkey Mayhem Comp: At the moment, I don't know of the status of this one, keep an eye out for updates.

Immortal Strategy Wargame: Also, don't know the status of this one, haven't heard anything in over a week.

-FCHG Race-The pilot who increases their FCHG rank the most will be awarded a IS-SW. The runner up will recieve a IS-BW.
-Immortal Wargame -Our wargame comp has started. Your squadron commanders have got all the current info. The first fleet movements are due by Wednesday. If anyone has a question about this, feel free to email me. I've attached a copy of the final rules to this email, but we can always update it as we need to in order to keep things fair.

-SotMA -I need a banner that can be awarded to the Squadron of the Month (yes, I'm bring that back seeing as how I never really instituted it). You have until 6/20/03 to get it sent in. Each pilot may submit up to 5 banners. IS-SR to winner and IS-BR to runner up.

-PotMA -I need a banner that can be awarded to the Pilot of the Month. You have until 6/20/03 to get it sent in. Each pilot may submit up to 5 banners. IS-SR to winner and IS-BR to runner up. (These last two are due today, and i completely forgot to put them in the last report)

Vampire Grudge Match Creation Competition: We're on the GFX phase of this comp, which will run till the end of June. Make a GFX representing Boba Fett vs. Alien(s).

Final Thought:

Let's keep the SSL a priority. Each Round we can send in 6 submissions. The total scores from those six submissions are what're counted for the Squadron. I know most of you already knew that, but I thought i'd repeat it for the benefit of the newer people. And I also wanted to stress participation in the SSL. I don't care if you send in really high scores...just send in something. Its the totals that count. I do send out the hints/tips to help you guys out, and give you a better chance at a higher score. Otherwise, things continue to move smootly in Vampire. Keep up the good work everyone.
