5.24.2003 - MAJ Phantom

Greetings Pilots,

Again, it is with a heavy heart that I write this weeks report. As we all know, our COM has decided to call it quits, again. He will be missed.

WING NEWS

- Our COM, VA Wil Striker, has requested transfer to the Reserves. Good luck, Sir.

- The Intrepid Top Gun Ladders are still taking place please participate.

- With the ladders being about half way through, I must say that I am very proud of my former Squad. So far, Krayt Squad has managed to score a whole 29 points! I'll give a more detailed scoring section later in the report.

Vice Admiral Wil Striker has resigned from his position as Intrepid Commodore. Those of you interested why, I'll give a full explanation in my next Flight Office report. Applications are now being accepted for a new COM, with the following requirements:
 Must have held the position of Wing Commander for no less than FOUR consecutive months. Those that haven't been a WC, but have considerable CMDR experience may also be considered for the position.
 Passed SM/II or SM/III and be familiar with ALL EH and TIE Corps policies and Standing Orders.
 Be able to work with people at all levels, from Flight Members to the Flight Officer.
 Have a good email reply time (48 hours).
 No serious HCI convictions. Ever.
 Be prepared to report in on time each week without fail.
 Must be familiar with MP and SP aspects of XvT and be prepared for the occasional bout of flying as part of competitions involving Flag Officers.
 Be able to motivate those under your command and keep them active.
 Be able to look at long term plans for the Ship, Battlegroup and TIE Corps as a whole.
 Be prepared to work with Flags outside of the ASF in the continuous improvement of the Fleet.
Applications should be sent to High Admiral Priyum and Admiral Darksaber by Tuesday 27th May at the latest with the subject "IntCOM". You may provide up to three references, two of which must come from superior Officers, past or present. The COM position is not one to be taken lightly. You must say why you think yourself qualified for the job, and you want it. Good luck if you choose to apply.

- Wing III WC Open To Applications

Applications are now being accepted for the Wing III WC position. The application period is open through to Sunday May 25th. Mail apps to Admiral Proton . The requirements for the position are:
 Must have held the position of CMDR in the TC for no less than four months in one tour.
 Must have passed either SM/II or SM/III
 Be able to reply to emails and process BSFs within 48 hours
 Report on time each week without fail
 Must be willing to handle significant amounts of admin in the course of running the Wing
 Be able to motivate pilots and keep CMDRs working towards improving their Squadrons and performance
 Must be able to create and run various competitions for the Wing
 Applicants must be 100% dedicated to the Wing and see goals achieved to the end
 No serious HCI convictions within the last 12 months. This includes 407 violations
 A keen sense of duty and loyalty to the Sovereign and commitment to participation in the activities of the Brotherhood of Sov Flag Officers
 Strict adherence to the Fleet Standing Orders and Sovereign policies
Be sure to add you future plans for the Wing and what steps you would take to encourage recruitment, activity and the general upkeep of the Wing. As always, flakes, cheats, resume-padders and mental loons need not apply.

Today is a sad day for the FES and the EH. One of our allies has lost his battle to stomach cancer and fallen. I'm not sure if any of you knew Daemon, but he was a steadfast supporter of the EH and a member of Force Elite Soldiers. Today I received word from High Colonel Trigit regarding Daemon's memorial, the FES has invited the entire EH to attend if they wish, so I will paste his email below.

"Just a heads up, Kaardoon has set a date for Daemon's memorial service. You and the entire EH are invited to attend this, and we would be honored by your attendance.
The date is: This Wednsday, May 21st at at 8 PM EST.
The service will be held in our channel on irc.holonet.org, our channel is #FES

Due to increasing RL commitments, Lieutenant Colonel Aeishline Strathaven has retired from active duty in the Emperor's Hammer. The Flight Office extends its thanks for all her past work and wishes her the best of luck in the future.

Until myself or Admiral Proton say otherwise, the position of Wing III WC is NOT open to applications. If it does open, then a news post will be made here.
