SQUADRON NEWS

• Another good week for Hornet!  This week we got two new pilots!  Everyone please welcome Sub-Lieutenant Laurence Angelo from the Daedalus, and Lieutenant Zerphirio Deryll, who returns to the Vanguard from the Reserves.  Keep up the great recruiting work!

• We are nearing the end of Round Three of Flight Wars.  Hornet 1 and Hornet 3 managed to pull through last week, plus earned 1st and 3rd respectively in overall points.  Keep it up!!

• Zerphiro has put forth the notion and volunteered to make a squadron photo to put on our website.  I know others in our squad have mentioned they would like to see this in the past, and I think it's a great idea.  Send your best pose (preferably standing, and at least from the torso up) to Zerph and he'll work his magic!

• The winner(s) of the first monthly Pilot of the Month and Officer of the Month competitions have been decided (based on the number of times they have received the "of the week" award in the WSR in April) and will be receiving their Iron Stars shortly.  This WSR still counts towards April.
  

XO'S THOUGHTS

• Greetings lady and gentlemen. I want to thank everyone for all their hard work for flight wars last week. Keep up the good work and we will show the Van why Hornet is to be feared. I also want to welcome two new faces to our band of misfits. SL Laurence Angelo and LT Zerphiro Deryll. Zer served under me when I was in command of Mantis, so I know what he is capable of. Let's all give them a big welcome and buy them a drink when you see them. I still haven't been able to knock out the activity I would like to (damn RL) but I am happy to see us getting back into the swing of things. Keep it up. Until next week...LONG LIVE HORNET!!!
