Hammer Report #39 4/12/03 Tycho Ackbar Competitions XWA-Free 40 done. We didn't have the 2 top scores, but our average was better then Immortal's. Congrats to all who participated XWAFREE#25 and XWA Free 71 Finished. I was top gun for 25, Keller (other CMDR) was top gun for 71. Caption due to Kalar today. (RA_Kalar): 3) LC Gunman has been awarded a Bronze Star for excellent work as squadron commander and acting Wing Commander during the past month. (RA_Kalar): 4) LCM Dukimar has been awarded a Bronze Star as well for being one heck of an active pilot. (RA_Kalar): 5) The competition with Wing III is on, it covers multiple flying platforms and will determine once and for all...did I make the right choice to change commands? Our current decision is I will focus primarily on comps, our current members and such stuff as that. This leaves Sunrider free to work on recruiting the squadron. I'm excited about this plan because it will keep the squadron alive with activity while still working on adding new members. Then both of us can help each other carry out our area we're working on. Sayo has requested a transfer to ISD Vanguard. Currently I'm not accepting applications for FL, but I'll let you know if that changes. I don't want to pick things to do, if you guys aren't enjoying them. I'll keep scheduling them, and Sunrider and Tiger will keep getting the awards, if that's what you want. This just shows us how RL can take it's toll on all of us in one way or another, and while others can find their way around some RL problems, some of those problems just can't be avoided...so let's wish Drake all the best and a quick return to us! Again, I've been scouting for some pilots...if you actually think about it there are a lot of possibly candidates for recruitment in the RSV's...back in the day the best source for recruiting was straight from the Daedalus but now it's from where all the retirees go :P We won the competition against the Immortal which has given us the title of best XWA ship in the BG's...this is great news...but what would be even better is if we could beat Wing III in the new comp that Kalar has set up for us...so let's get to our cock-pits and fly our hearts out!
