Copperhead Squadron Report #8

Squad News:

I have the severe displeasure of starting this report with bad news. Generally I am griping about activity, well that will come later. But for now i have the duty to tell you that our great friend and COM , VA Wil Striker. Today he has announced his plan to retire due to certain influences within the command structure that have found ways to road block him and stone wall him I refer you to his resignation email that you should have recieved if not, email me personally do NOT respond to this report for it. I must say that I have seen these things happen to our great COM and I see his reasoning behind it, I am just very saddened to see him go. He has helped me out through my beginnings on the Intrepid , Ive been here through his rise from Cmdr, WC, to our COM, Wil, It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve under you in this great ship. I would join the DIR to be under you again , but that would subtract from this squadron you and Tiss put me in charge of. a <Salute> to our departing COM.

On to the usual Gripe, this time its more severe. I Have not been a very busy Jedi lol , I am now wondering where all of you are ! I am calling a Status Check, this is by no means an Awol check unless of course cercumstances suggest someone must be awoled, :( Inactivity will not and has Never been tolerated. I was unable to fly for a long time before and Still found ways to be active. Take an IWATs course , most of them have practical application in RL like the IIC courses that teach HTML . you can create Graphics for the newsletter , you get a medal for that The Key is to do Something.

**Flight leader positions: Apps are CLOSED, I have made my decision and will send notice to the FO tomorrow as tonight i am TIRED and can barely read this monitor .

Communications Officer: you keep us appraised on news from the TC and EH as a whole. Both Positions are required to make weekly reports every thursday to the eGroup. Communication !! this is something we LACK it seems.. hmm

One more to the roll ! w00t Copperhead is coming back ! I hope everyone can pull some activity levels from the basement ! we could make WC Own , just need to work for it ! Lets show them the power Copperheads carry make them fear our bite. Lets put some more teeth in the Copperheads mouth, bring in more venom, Make those that look on us ph33r us :)

LA taking IRC leave

As announced in my latest report, I'm taking an indefinate leave from IRC. I will still be around and active, just need a break from IRC for a while to sort some things out. Once I get sorted, I'll come back to IRC full swing, but until then expect to see me rarely, mainly at meetings or in non-mainstream EH channels.

Wing Commander Appointment

Congratulations to the former Omicron CMDR, Lieutenant Colonel Wysseri Arestar, who has been selected as the new Wing VIII WC.

With the retirement of General Drake, the position of Wing IX Wing Commander is open for applications. If you think you have what it takes to be a Wing Commander, email the COM, RA Jahan Kalar and the BGCOM, AD Krax by Sunday May 18th at 23:59 CST. The requirements are:

- At least one successful tour as CMDR or above (4 months)
-No major HCI convictions during the last 12 months
-Committment to the position of at least four months
- Experience with XWA (TIE experience highly recommended)
- Ability to reliably handle significant amounts of admin work to keep things running smoothly
- Ability to create and run various competitions
- Reliable and quick email response
- A sincere desire to make Wing IX the best it possibly can be and a commitment to the Tie Corps and the Relentless
-Ability to handle numerous command decisions in a fair and mature manner

Include any plans you have for the Wing, especially in regards to moral, activity and recruitment. All officers who feel they meet the above requirements will be considered, but egomaniacs, crackpots, abusive jerks, and anyone who's in it for the rank should look elsewhere.

Good news for you FMs out there ! yes your maximum rank for that position is moved to Commander !! remember, only Superiror FMs who demonstrate qualities in activity and leadership may attain this rank rightfully !

Flight Member Maximum Rank Extended

I have received approval from the Fleet Commander to extend the maximum attainable rank as a Flight Member from Lieutenant Commander to Commander. To be eligible for this rank, a FM must have spent at least THREE months in their current position. Time is not the only consideration for such a promotion - activity during this period must also be a factor.

The database won't support the submission of these promotion recommendations yet, however Wing Commanders can email me the request and I'll do it manually. The Training Manual, Fleet Standing Orders and Squadron Management notes will be updated over the coming days.

Intrepid Top Gun Ladders - This will be a MP competition using both XvT and XWA gaming platforms, to set-up matches between other pilots of the Intrepid. Pilots can set-up matches between themselves either through e-mail, instant messanger, or on IRC. Each win will count as 3 points, a loss will count as 2 points.

Viper Pilot of the Month - One with the most points win! Fiction- 5 points, 3 points for Run on posts GFX- 1 point, 2 points if really good or for a comp going on. Battles- x# points Free Missions- 1/2 point Recruit- 10 points! MB, IRC, Email- 5 points for each.total can be 15 points for doing these 3. Trivia- I might start trivia, if I do it will be another comp but still worth 5 points for all done, -1 point for every one missing. If its for someone elses comp, worth the same. Free mission creation- 5 points Battle creation- 10 points!

EH NL Incentive Comp - Miscellaneous information since the XO is having problems getting submissions for the EH NL, the BGCOM is launching this competition as an incentive.

Start Date: 2/9/2003

End Date: 2/9/2004

Parties Involved: Only applies to personnel from the ASF.

Missions/Battles Used: N/A

Medals to be Awarded: If someone gets an Image of the Month, he/she gets an IS-GR. If someone gets a 1st Runner up, he/she gets an IS-SR. If someone gets a 2nd Runner Up, he/she gets an IS-BR.

Intrepid Monthly FCHG Race Each month the COM will record the starting FCHG points of each pilot. At the end of the month the COM will record the ending FCHG points of each pilot, and then will declare the 1st and 2nd place winners. This will be a form of a ladder competition, so the more flight activity you have the better your chances to climb the ladder and win!

Missions/Battles Used: All authorized battles/missions on the EH Battle Center.

Medals to be Awarded: IS-SW to the pilot who gains the most FCHG points during each month. IS-BW to the second best pilot.

Intrepid Monthly CR Race! At the start of each month the COM will record the CR points of each pilot, and at the end of the month the COM will record the CR points of each pilot. The pilot with the most CR points gained will be the winner for that month! This will be like a MP ladder where the more MP activity you have the more likely your chances to win!
