SQUADRON NEWS
-TAC has released a new XWA mission and a new XWA battle. Go check them out :)
-Next Sunday, all MP comps will be nulled by Darksaber’s promotion celebration, which will include a long MP comp of XWA and XvT. You can go ahead and take advantage of Darksaber’s modesty :P
-The XWA and XvT rooms on the Zone have been moved to “ZoneLAN – Directplay”. You’ll find them as “XWing Alliance” and “XVT Rebel Base II”.
-The EH website has been redesigned and has a new cool look. The MIDIs have also been eliminated.
-Due to recent events, Darth Vader has been declared inactive and is no longer on Shield. This has been serious blow to the squadron, not only to our numbers but also to our overall activity and flying skill, but most importantly, a great friend is no longer among us. I just hope we can all find motivation in his last words before this happened, “Bring on the comps!”, and be able to compensate for just the skill and activity :(
-Chewbacca will show up on a small part in “Episode III”. The movie will be released in 2005, and George Lucas says it will be the last Star Wars movie.
-Jedi Knight 3 is in the works. In this game, you’ll be able to create your character from scratch, and choose which side of the Force you wish to follow. The 3D engine will be an improved version of the one used on Quake 3. The single player campaign is estimated to be 30 hours long. Game is expected to be release this year.
SQUADRON STATUS
-The “Relentless final exams” have started. Be ready to receive new orders from COM Kalar.
-Top Priority: Fly XWA-Free 40 for the Top Gun comp between us and the Immortal. This comp will decided which ship is the best XWA ship in the Battlegroup. I cannot stress how important this one is, so get it done by Thursday!
-Give some time to recruitment. Offer your help to cadets, contact old friends in reserves, but PLEASE get more pilots into our squadron.
