Bounty Hunter's Guild
Report #112
3.7.2003 - Trench
(Preface: you may snip what you like out of this before posting on domain)
Sirs,
First off, I want to apologize for the new position snafu that happened this weekend, and by way of that, to present them to you for approval.
We on the Commission had been having extensive discussions; in the end we settled on some solutions to some of the issues we were having--they are not large changes. I had intended to let you know about them, but I was taking a train home and did not have time to report them before catching the train. The Commission did not know that they could not announce the changes and so they did.
Here are the changes.
Darth Shadow, our Adjunct, has been doing incredible, incredible work, and was starting to get overloaded by it. It was agreed by all that the work he does is more than sufficient to make his position a Core Commission position, instead of an assistant, and change its name. And since he had many new projects to do that he needed help with, the decision was made to establish a new assistant-level position to help him out.
The other changes are two new 'stepping-stone' ranks, Arch-Duke and Marquis, to go between some of our current higher-level ranks. If one is not a Commission member, it becomes almost impossible to advance in rank past a certain point, so new ranks were added to keep things spicy.
The rank changes are unrelated to the Overseer position; they merely coincided in time.
Please let me know if you have any questions about them.
A lot of our websites are currently inaccessible because the server is undergoing maintenance. This should be resolved in a couple of days. (This also is the reason that I have no roster count this week. I will edit this report and put it there if I can find it out before my next report.)
There is the usual: Specialist Competitions are closed; new ones to start soon; Darth Shadow has posted Round 2 of his tournament competition and is grading run-ons as we speak. New Arena matches are to be posted Monday.
Daichi Kabal has won the inaugural Kabal Authority Cup! Congratulations! In other Kabal Authority news: hunts return next weekend and Coursca is cooking up some other ideas to keep people busy in the meantime.
Jernai has marked Online Mission set 46 and will release set 47 once the server comes back up. He's also awarded all credits and brought the bug tracker up to date. In addition, he ran the first radio show, to some acclaim and some disgust over his taste in music.
Dalk, Krail and I are ironing out the details of our fiction course and should have that ready for midweek. I'm very excited about it -- it's going to be one of the most involved courses ever and should be a great help to those who take it.
Finally, I will be away from Thursday, March 13 until Thursday, March 20. I will likely submit my next report -- I hope -- in 'abridged' fashion on Wednesday.
Respectfully submitted,
Dark Prince Trench
