Belzedar has purged the roster of inactive Pages. This leaves our complete roster with a whopping 45 members. In case you didn't know, the AWOL check applies to every Senate member (even you active ones), which means if you don't feel like responding, you'll be taken off the roster. You have 2 weeks left.
I've been getting a few of you asking me about the manual. So, I guess I'll have to tell you again. The Senate manual isn't going to work without the Systems manual accepting new planetary admissions, and presently, I'm trying to find suitable planets for representation. This is difficult due to several reasons: 1) it's hard finding actual Star Wars planets with a government and history compatible with the EH; 2) the current Systems Manual has populations that are 1/100th of planets I am actually finding; and 3) I haven't been given permission to edit the systems manual according to the passage of time.
We have compiled 35 planets for possible representation. All of these but 10 have been taken out of consideration. Of these 10 planets, they each hold a certain amount of significance within the Star Wars canon. The problem with being obligated to choose actual Star Wars planets is the fact that ALL Star Wars planets pertain to specific works of Star Wars fiction. If a Senator represented a planet dominated by the malignant, troublesome Empire of Sarne, for example, we'd have a bit of inconsistency in regards to what exactly he'd be representing in the Imperial Senate.
Why do I mention this? Because planetary representation must be the focus of the Senate. It's been proved time and time again that we can't function with parties and chapters alone. There simply isn't enough activity or interest to rely on such a brittle structure. What's difficult about trying to integrate the Senate Manual and Systems Manual, though, is my inability to alter the latter. I have found several terrestrial planets within the same systems of the ones I have already compiled, only they have no information, established history, government, etc. If I were permitted to create this information myself, it'd be much easier.
I've been informed by GA Ronin that a Senator would be allowed to represent any planet in the EH systems manual or any published Star Wars planet, however. Fictionally, I don't see the logic in representing Coruscant. Maximus and I have been concentrating on the Kathol Sector, which is right next to the Minos Cluster, so I guess we'll continue working from there. Once I receive approval from GA Ronin for these 10 planets, I can finish the representation section of the manual (which is the most essential section). With any luck, we'll have it out in around a week.

:: Competitions ::
The Senate obviously needs a recruiting effort. This can only be accomplished at the party-level, so I want Party leaders to start recruiting their friends in other SG's, friends in RL, coworkers, family, penpals etc. into the Senate. >:P I suppose I can make a competition out of it, so Awards of Induction are going on a little clearence. Know that if the people you recruit don't turn out to be active, I reserve the right to take the award back. Or, if you decide to create multiple accounts and recruit yourself, there will be consequences. Anyway, here is the award format:
1 Recruit - Award of Induction [AoI]
3 Recruits - Award of Induction with Amethyst [AoI-A]
6 Recruits - Award of Induction with Sapphire [AoI-S]
10 Recruits - Award of Induction with Ruby [AoI-S]
15 Recruits - Award of Induction with Diamond [AoI-D]
After one month's passing, the format will revert back to the way it was. This competition is open to anyone, including High Council members and reservists. Another requirement is that they have to join a party, so no joining and going to the reserves.

Magnate Rizzen Pharn, for excellent work on the Imperial University and overall insistence, dedication, and inspiration during yet another troubled period in the Senate's history. Exarch Plubius Claudius Maximus, for his assistance with the Systems Manual and continued work in several positions where he was direly needed. Premier Dakkon Blackblade, for his dedication to the Imperial University and attempts to revive the Conservative Party from a stagnant cave dwelling to a fully fuctional political party. Premier Tetsel, for his continued service throughout several troubled periods in the Senate's history and assistance with the Imperial University and Moderate Party. Premier Demerzel, for his longterm service to the Liberal Party and for always serving as the needed reciprocal for the High Council's opinion. And, lastly, Arbiter Coranel Both for his excellent work with the Senatorial Address and overall activity within the Imperial Senate.
