-LT John Edwards has been awarded the Commendation of Bravery for his exceptional activity since joining Iota.  In recognition of his achievements, I hereby appoint LT John Edwards to the position of Flight Leader III.  Congratulations ;)

Ship News

-Congratulations to Commander Trowa, Captain Hermann, and Major Daniel Klivian for receiving the EH 8th Anniversary Awards!

-Pi CMDR Keiran has been promoted to the rank of Major...'grats to him

Competition News

-WC has restructured Comp/Awards system.  Colossus Statistics

-Your CMDR has taken Top Gun honors once again for the month of December.  The squadron still stands at a respectable 3rd place in the overall squadron rankings.  Details about the ATP comp can be found on the WC's site: http://www.isdcolossus.com/wc/Calendar/Calender.htm

-Fly TIE-TC# 164 by the 15th for Top Gun/Squadron Rankings!!

-The Commodore has announced two new competitions for January: ISDCA# 2, and the Ship renaming/motto comp.  Both will begin on the 15th and run until the 31st. 

Official Standing Orders
 
Anyone not following these is subject to being removed immediately.
 
1. All FMs should be in regular contact with me and their Flight Leaders at least once a week via email, ICQ, or IRC etc.
 
2. I expect everyone to participate in all competitions, except when there is a conflict with important RL events.  If you're planning on taking a leave, make sure you update your personal profile by activating your Leave Status.

3. I want everyone to be as active as they can by flying, creating graphics, writing fiction, or creating missions, etc.

4. All Flight Leaders will report to me at the end of each week detailing which of members of their flight have or haven't reported in and what they've done during the past week. You shall forward me any TFRs, fiction, graphics etc. you receive from your pilots. You must fly at least 1 battle plus the competition mission every week or your status may be removed.

5. Fly on 'HARD' without cheats whenever in a competition.

CMDR's Corner

January has been a great month for us thus far. Activity has picked up, something a CMDR is always happy to see :)  I'd like to see some submissions for the upcoming competitions: ISDCA# 2, ship renaming/motto, and Top Gun/Squadron ranking.

As mentioned above, I'm currently working on a new TIE battle that will prominently feature the squadron along with the ship and battlegroup.  As this is my first attempt at mission creation (uh-oh), I'll welcome anyone who might be interested in helping me play test and provide some feedback.  LT John Edwards has volunteered help so far ;)
