Mailer Woes

It seems the database mailer is down again. This means that NO confirmation emails are being sent out for BSFs, Medal Awards, Promotions etc. If you're awaiting an update, then please check the rosters before you bug the TAC, OPS or me. The problem should hopefully be resolved in the next couple of days.

Praetorian Commander Open To Applications

With the upcoming retirement of Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Shadd as the Commander of the Elite Praetorian Squadron, applications are now being accepted for a replacement. Potential applicants must be able to meet the following requirements:

- At least ONE year of TIE Corps service
- At least SIX months experience as a CMDR (in any squadron)
- Proven exceptional singleplayer pilot ability as shown in either high scores or competitions wins. Also familiarity with multiplayer activities
- Basic knowledge of the Intelligence Division
- Familiarity with all EH protocols and the Fleet Standing Orders
- Applicants must also have taken and passed the SM/3 Course

Strongly Recommended:

- Experience in an Elite Squadron
- Command experience (WC and above or long-time CMDR)
- Working knowledge of the Intelligence Division

You may include up to TWO references, one of which must be from a superior Officer (please contact these people beforehand). Applications should be sent ASAP to Vice Admiral Trouttrooper and Fleet Admiral Priyum.

Wing News

-Due to RL time constraints, CPT Bob has stepped down as Falcon CMDR. He was promoted to MAJ for all the hard work and dedication he put into that position. He has been replaced by CPT Gutt. (May God have mercy on their souls....)

-Everyone is to fly XWA-Free 4 before Dec. 11th! This is a mandatory comp! Be sure to 'cc me when you send your BSF's to your CMDRs.

-We are well on our way to our goal that for the month of December, we fly at least 1,00o missions as a ship. This will go along great with the comp that Maj Auto has started. (See below for details.) So far over 180 missions have been flown.

-Time for a rant: We have had an onslaught on transfer requests lately. Now, there is nothing wrong with wanting to transfer to another ship if you feel that you need to. However, you MUST follow the guidelines set forth in the TC Standing Orders which can be found at http://www.btinternet.com/%7Espellfire/go.html Now, from now on, if you don't follow the transfer procedure (i.e. you DO NOT email the FO on your own asking for a transfer), then I WILL slap a big fat DENIED on that transfer. These orders are put in place for a reason, and we will follow them.

-An idea has been raised about a new type of comp based on one that is currently underway in the Dark Brotherhood. Basically, a murder mystery would be written and then sent to the squadrons. By the end of the week, each squadron would have to figure out the murderer. If you think that you would like to participate in something like this, email me and MAJ Auto so we can figure out how many players we would have.

-We need more recruits. To this effect, I am offering a bounty of an ISM on any NEW recruit you get onto the Immortal. They will have to transfer from the Reserves, or from the Daedalus Platform. (DO NOT SPAM DAEDALUS!) I would suggest hanging out in the Zone in the XWA and XvT rooms....

Ship News

-The security office was raided this week by parties unknown. All the equipment was smashed and the only clues were a snake of some kind that could make itself rigid or soft like a rope. It was destroyed after trying to attack a security officer. More to come later.....

Competitions

-ECR phase 3 is getting close to end. Everyone is to fly XWA-Free 4 before Dec. 12th and have their .plt files to me by then.

-MAJ Auto has started a FCHG Race competition for the month of December. There is one small catch however. Only battles that are flown will be counted, not Free Missions. So, everyone get started and flood your Cmdr's inbox with .plt files!

-CMDR VinDoros won last month's Top Gun comp. Congratulations!

-The Top Gun competition will be continued this month. Basically, the pilot that wins the most MP matches will recieve an IS-SW. The runner-up will recieve an IS-BW. Also, you don't have to wait until official EH comps for this. You can set up your own quick skirmishes while on IRC and I will count those as well, as long as you send me the results of the win. Also, because the mailer system is down, IF YOU WON ANY EH SPONSORD MP MATCHES, EMAIL ME SO I CAN ADD THEM TO THE RECORD. I didn't get confirmation of any this month, but I know that many of you flew.
