Exercice Cantina Run IV is going to Start next Friday. This is a Battlegroups Competition to decide the Flagship of the Battlegroups. The ISD Immortal is the Current Title holder and both me and Vice Admiral Darksaber wish to mantain it
 
 
CMDR Changes
 
Unfortunally both CPT Hunter and LC Gunman had to resign from CMDR due to RL.. new Demon CMDR is CPT BratStone while Phantom CMDR is open for Applications
 
 
Oblivion Flight
 
As I reported last week, I am forming Oblivion Flight in order to deal with those special missions that a regular squadron just can't handle.
There's two ways to gain membership, either your one of the four most active pilots each month or you challenge a pilot that's already a member and win.
At the end of this month the four most active pilots (flying, graphic, fiction) will be chose as the first set of members. The most active pilot will be Oblivion Leader, while the rest file the FM positions. These pilots now have two weeks of getting into their rolls and to enjoy the privileges of membership in this elite flight. During this time no one can change them for membership.
After the first two weeks anyone in the wing can challenge for membership and whoever he challenge must accept or forfeit his place in the flight. The one that's challenged will decided on a mission/battle (XWA, unless otherwise agreed, sp unless otherwise agreed) and both parties will have one week in order to get the pilot files into me and then the winner will be announced. The challenge can not take part during a month change (due to the fact that that's when the members are chose due to activity) so a challenge must be given at least one week before the month ends.
A pilot who wins his way into the flight by challenge won't get the normal two weeks of immunity from challenges. Instead they'll get a one time immunity on the monthly selection (e.g they get to stay on over a month change even though someone else might have higher activity), on the other hand someone else can change them immediately, and if they lose they're out. If a pilot want to challenge a member of the flight he should contact me and I'll see if one is able for challenge and set it up.
In order to not confuse the leadership of the flight Oblivion leader can't be challenged. He'll be chose each month based soly on activity.
 
The activity rating is very simple, you get one point for each mission flown, each mp match won, each gfx and fiction sent to the NL (must cc me).
The maximum time anyone can be a member of this flight is three months in a row. Which is worth a BS, two months is a PC and one is a ISM.
 
So in short: New members by activity gets a two week free of changes, new members by change get a one time immunity from monthly selection but can be challenged immediately. Oblivion Leader can't be challenged, he's selected purely on activity.

New Multiplayer Competitions

I have subscribed the Emperor's Hammer to a Multiplayer Event called [XvT] TIE Advanced Abomination. For more information go to the Battlestats Site of the Comp and to the Combat Operations Office Calendar.

Also after SHW Kantor's suggestion I have added the [JK] Week of War XXXIII and the [JK2] Week of War V to the Combat Calendar. The Emperor's Hammer (EH) and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood (DJB) are subscribed. After finishing the Week of War's all EH Matches will be processed by me and sent to the SHW for awarding the Cluster of Fire's.

All the Scores will be processed within 3 days after their respective Competitions ended.

Grand Moff open for applications

Overview
The position of Grand Moff is unique among subgroup commanders in that the Grand Moff runs a subgroup and also must maintain the Systems Manual. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate long term committment and consistant levels of output to gain this position. Applicants must address the following criteria:

Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Prove command experience, at the level of at least TIE Corps Wing Commander or a similar position of responsibility.
2. Good written communication skills
3. An acceptable level of presence in online media, such as IRC, message boards, etc.
4. Fast email response time.
5. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Executive Officer, Fleet Commander and members of the Directorate.
6. An outline of plans or ideas for the Directorate.

Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Experience in the creation and/or maintaining of online reference works
2. Proven experience in turning around an aspect of the EH.

You must address each of the criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yep I can do that" won't be good enough. You must also include three references, at least one being a current superior. These references will be checked and your application will be considered in an extremely negative light if you have not gotten permission from people to use them as references first. Applications are to be directed to the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer with the subject "Application for Grand Moff".

Domain spring cleaning

I've been doing some cleaning up because the database ran out of space. The result is about 40 megs of reclaimed datbase space and about 20 megs of reclaimed disk space allocated to the web site. The only visibly affected area of the database is the message board - I deleted all the posts prior to the start of this year. The 20megs of disk space recovered was from the deletion of the TO site. You can find the TO site now at http://www.imperialacademy.org/. The course and staff pages are pulled right off the TC database and should be accurate. If you encounter any errors, email me and I'll have a look at it.

Wing Commander Position Open

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Wing XIII Wing Commander, onboard the ISD Greywolf in the ASF. Interested applicants should be able to meet the following criteria:

1. Must have held the position of CMDR in the TC for no less than 6 months in one tour.
2. Must have passed SM/2 & SM/3.
3. FCHG must be of a reasonable standard.
4. Be able to reply to mails and process BSF's within 24 hrs.
5. Good with communications.
6. Report on time each week.
7. Must be willing to handle a great deal of admin work to aid the running of the wing.
8. Good working knowledge of the TIE Corps database.
9. Be able to motivate pilots and keep the CMDR's working to improve their squads and performance.
10. Must be able to create and run various competitions for the wing when asked to do so.
11. Applicant must be 100% dedicated to the wing to see goals achieved, and have the will to drive to that end.

Wing XIII is XvT multiplayer, and applications are to be sent to Vice Admiral Azazel Djo'Tarr and Admiral Cyric with "Wing XIII WC" as the subject.

Please be sure to add your future plans for the wing, and what steps you'll take to encourage recruitment, activity and keep things running smoothly. Any comp ideas you may have will also be a bonus when applying for this position. Good luck.
