COM/VA Proton reporting for the SSSD Sovereign, flagship of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.
SOVEREIGN AND FLEET NEWS AND NOTES
-- The Sovereign Bombing Run Blowout continues, details on the War Room page at http://sov.minos.net. The next deadlines are Sept. 15 for the TIE mission 3 segment. LC Freelancer won the XWA ladder -- congratulations to him. The art and fiction categories still are open, through Sept. 30 -- please participate, for personal glory as well as the honor of your squadron and wing.
-- Speaking of ship competitions, there are not one but two major events shaping up once the SBRB concludes. One will be a "Titans of the Sovereign" battle for supremacy in which squadrons and wings will pile up points for flying, fiction and graphics. It will be an intense three-week event where overall squadron and wing performances will determine the winners. Secondly, all pilots, get ready for a *major* TIE, XWA and XvT single-player contest against ... well, urm, check that, that is confidential for now. Suffice to say, the flagship's honor will be at stake, and *all* pilots *will* fly. You do not want to know the consequences for non-fliers in this one, so just fly and forget it.
-- MAJ Philo of Yod won an ISM for completing a monthlong "virtual exchange program" with Shield Squadron of Wing IX.
-- Wing III War of the Squadrons, Beth vs Daleth in OT round 11.
