Flight Leader Lieutenant Commander Zexipher van Taelyan reporting in for Ranger Squadron July 12th, 2002 RANGER SQUADRON REPORT #111 <Salute>

With many of the LURPS in either limited duty or on leave, the activity of Ranger isn't quite up to par. There is not a lot to report this week but a few non-flight projects that perhaps the squadron can work on until we are back up to speed with X-Wing Alliance. We are currently without a Commander, and as Acting-Commander and Exective Officer of Ranger Squadron I bring you all this lovely report.

SQUADRON NEWS

Ranger Squadron is currently without a Commander. Therefore while our Commodore and Wing Commander figure out a replacement for our friend Vin Doros. You probably all have figured out by now I am the Acting-Commander.

Little activity is happening in Ranger due to most people being on leave, therefore no medals have been awarded this week.

The Competition against Phantom squadron ended in an abort. Reason being, that although Ranger ended up with a higher average, complaints were made since only 2 of our 7 pilots were required to fly. Granted they had 100% participation in the event with only 1 pilot on leave. For the hard work on behalf of Phantom, and with the little efforts made by Ranger, the competition was aborted, however a challenge will be offered again once Ranger is up and flying in full force again. Summer vacations have us all over the place.

OTHER NEWS

Petition for a sequel to TIE Fighter, There is an online petition to LucasArts for creation of a sequel to TIE Fighter. This will only bring good things to the Emperor's Hammer as I'm sure you all realize TIE Fighter is becoming very ancient and hardly works on new systems. SQUADRON STATUS/ORDERS

COM's Co-Pilot Competition: It ends on July 15th, so you still have time! The COM is going on leave. He's leaving his ship, called the Space Truck behind for us to keep an eye on. Fly XWAF73 Space Truck. Open to all pilots on the Immortal. Top Scorer get IS-SW and gets to be the COM's Co-Pilot. 2nd place earns a IS-BW.

Since only Gidda and I are actively flying XWA, and have flown most all XWA missions. Why not take this week to work on our writing skills on the message boards. I have brought up some interesting debate topics in the past.
