It’s been a huge set of two weeks, first I want to apologize for the lateness of the report. There’s been a lot going on here and I finally am now sitting down to write it, I know bad WC. L
Well first off SC IV is over, and we did very well, as good as I was hoping, but it could have been better. Activity really slumped off during the second month, which goes to show you finals and that the competition lasting two months really did bite us in the butt.
Anyway I’d like to congratulate everyone that participated. Also after a bit of spring cleaning I’d like to say our roster is a little swept up and some names and faces have disappeared for awhile due to their AWOLness. If you really don’t want to be on the VAN or in the Corps anymore please go to the reserves or something, it’s a horrible thing to AWOL people in waves. Also WELCOME to all the new cadets we have been greatly welcome to receive from the Flight Office.
Next Scorpion and Hornet are the WC’s Own for the month of May due to both of their outstanding performances during the SC IV.
Several REPORTS are missing, CMDRs get them in right now. MAJ Zoron is moving to an FL slot in Mantis and LCM Drake Jensen will be the new Mantis CMDR.

Ekim strolled into the pilot’s lounge on the VAN. Several pilots were gathered around a bar taking a drink. It had been quite a few months on board. Activity had sky-rocketed for a time, but had since diminished. Intel had been reporting fewer and fewer incidents involving New Republic forces. Strolling upto the bar, Ekim ordered an Averam Gin to go with some spring tonic from the moon’s of Aurora.
Scrolling through his datapad for events of the day he noticed an all hands event on the flight deck in half an hour. Sighing he downed the drink and returned to his quarters to change into a dress uniform.
Opening his closet he gazed at it, the belts and sash were on one hangar, his suit had been freshly cleaned and was pressed, his awards and decorations were proudly displayed. Ekim had fifty-two confirmed 1 v 1 victories and it showed. He also had been the recipient of several Stars of varying degrees. After putting on the jacket Ekim hung his Alvaak-style lightsaber from his belt. Grabbing his dress white gloves he parted for the hangar arriving a few moments early. The VAN COM, Vice-Admiral Bevel Leeson was already present, and carrying several boxed to which he handed to Ekim.
“Ekim these are the awards for the pilots, do you have the rank badges…?” Leeson seemed fairly relaxed, and Ekim agreed that’s how he should be. Nodding an answer to Leeson’s question Ekim went to stand by the podium.
Vanguard Standing Orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.
Standing Order #2: Squadron Histories! (COMPETITION STATUS: APPROVED)
So I am now implementing something, I’d like to see a wing history and squadron histories for every squadron onboard. Histories can be fictional or what not and should include all members of the squad in the history as well as the cmdr. I'll be making this an official competition soon for the wing, meaning i'd like to see them. :D
