General Information
Yes, that’s right! The Wing Commander with the most is back in action, and as you can see from this report has been very busy since he got back. There were well over 300 emails in my inbox filled with notices of medals, promotions, completed battles, combat awards, etc.! This is what a WC likes to see when he comes back from some R&R! This report is going to cover everything since my last report, so it will also give our newer pilots an opportunity to see how much activity, as well as the rewards that activity brings from a short two week period. As always I am happy to see so many medals and other mentions of rewards listed in a weekly Wing Report. It goes without saying that you still make your WC very proud to be serving with you! ;)
I realize this is a little late, but I want to welcome our two newest pilots to Wing XIV! Welcome LT Carnor Jax and SL Tarpho X Kerr! Both have been assigned to Asp Squadron, which clearly shows that CPT Clark and his brood are once again effectively hunting for new pilots! Keep up the great work John!! J
Our numbers are still below 50, but our activity as a Wing clearly shows that we are still active as hell! I want to thank everyone for putting for such a great effort in the past two weeks to ensure that our reputation and commitment to remain the #1 active Wing in the TIE Corps remained intact! ;)
Once again it is that time of the month, meaning that all CMDR’s need to be sure they submit their MSE’s to me by July 1st, no later than July 2nd! If you need additional time, as usual contact me beforehand and inform me of why you need the additional time. :P
The SM/3 Course has been released! What does this mean to everyone? Well, in short I have asked the CMDR’s and FL’s to take this course as soon as possible so that they have it out of the way, and it will ensure them better opportunities for position advancement in the future. However, any FM’s that wish to take this course as well are certainly encouraged to do so since it is now mandatory for any pilot wishing to become a FL to have completed the SM/3 in advance of applying for a FL position. Plus it gives the everyday FM a chance to learn a bit more of what your Command Officers are required to do on a weekly basis. ;)
More IWATS Courses have been released as well while I was away! This is great news, but sort of sad at the same time. I’m just not sure how much longer the database is going to allow my ID Line to become before it regurgitates my entire TC Profile. LOL In any case, more courses means more opportunity to be active and learn new things. Take advantage of these free courses that the EH provides and go learn something new! ;P
Several of our CMDR’s were recently promoted, congrats to Delak, Frodo, and John! It is always great to promote officers, and it is doubly rewarding to promote such worthy CMDR’s! Keep up the excellent work guys! J
A reminder to all CMDR’s, medals for activities within a competition will only be approved by OPS if the competition was approved in advance by the TO. It is nearly impossible to get OPS to approve medals for a competition if the TO did not previously approve it. In the event that the TO fails to approve a submitted competition request, then contact me immediately and I will ensure that it is brought to the attention of OPS and the FO. In any case, the best advice I can give is to submit the request to the TO at least two weeks in advance of the start of the competition. Remember, every member of the EH have RL obligations, and for the CS Officers they are burdened further by requests and other work for hundreds of pilots each week. So while it may seem unfair that they are a bit slower in processing a request, remember that you are but one of several thousand pilots that they are working with weekly. ;)
Quote of the Week
"I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
- Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

· Your own WC had been challenged by the VA Proton, COM of the SSSD Sovereign to a duel! Apparently he wishes to see if I have the temerity to challenge him in one on one combat. Knowing Proton the way I do though, it is certain it will be in a SP fashion, because we all know that pilots on the Sov would never challenge ASF pilots to a MP duel. As a result of the challenge, VA Brakka has also thrown down the gauntlet to Proton as well. More on this as well in the near future! ;)
· Due to major time constraints this week I was unable to finalize the details with GN Sickman for the Wing V vs. Wing XIV competition. However, with plenty of time available to me over the course of this weekend I will endeavor to get the details worked out and once the competition has been approved I will inform everyone of the details. J
· Yod Squadron, of Wing IV, has challenged at least two of our Squadrons to a competition. I’m looking forward to seeing how much more damage the Sov can take from the pilots of the ISD Intrepid. LOL
ASF/TC News
· The third version of the IWATS Squadron Management Course is now officially out. As I said in my previous reports, this is more of an update rather than a complete rework. This means that there isn't anything significantly new, but there is more information on things like the Fleet Standing Orders, Database procedures and the new CMDR Tour of Duty rule.
The test is not compulsory for present Squadron Commanders but they are highly encouraged to read through the notes. Pilots that were CMDRs in the past and are applying for a CMDR position at some point in the future, do not have to take SM/3, assuming SM/1 or 2 has already been passed.
Please note that the pass mark for the SM/3 test is 80% and copies of transcripts are not kept, unless you mail me beforehand.
· Congratulations to the following on their appointments:
- Rear Admiral Corran Force promoted to ISD Challenge Commodore
- Colonel Stele Pellaeon promoted to Wing Commander of Wing II
- Major Lohr Zadash promoted to Wing Commander of Wing IX.
Also congratulations to Rear Admiral Darksaber and Rear Admiral Krax Tarnisar, both of whom have been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral for all of their hard work as Commodore.
