6.9.2002 - MAJ Blair Vallyn
Vallyn
tossed his old scruffy-looking Captain rank badge into a box with a bunch of old badges, then pinned on his new Major rank. He
straightened his tunic and grabbed his datapads and a new Lieutenant rank. He left his office and headed toward the briefing
room. It was about time Wasp had a mission. Nothing like a good Imperial Assassination mission to get his pilots in touch with the
Dark Side.
Vallyn entered the briefing room, where his pilots were assembled. "Everyone welcome the Sub-Lieutenant Vlorn Ryten,"
he said, then tossed the new rank badge at the new recruit, "who is now a full Lieutenant. Congratulations."
"Thank you, sir," Vlorn replied.
"On that note," Vallyn continued, "we have another new recruit who hasn't showed up yet. His name is Rinoa, and
hopefully we'll see him soon. Lieutenant Skidder and Commander Boris haven't reported in
either, I had to declare them absent. That's
unfortunate, but our squadron will remain lean. We should be prepared for a mission that I have
preliminary details for. We will
fulfill our primary role as an Assassin squadron. That's all the details I can give you now. As I get more information from
the Intelligence I'll form a mission plan and we'll get started on the simulations. Any questions?"
"How'd we do in the Supremacy Competition?" CTXclr asked.
"Fair," replied Vallyn. "We reached third in our Wing, eighth overall, and the Vanguard pulled in second place. Not too
bad, but we could do better." He looked around the room for more questions. "Thanks guys, keep it up. We'll have a mission soon.
Dismissed."

Sorry for the lateness of the report, I've not
really had access to a computer. Congrats Paco on a Bronze Star for activity last month. Good work those who are participating in
the weekly Van trivia comp! Good job :)
