I have returned from my leave, thus the tardiness of this report. It was for the most part a great vacation with my parents. It reminded me of how much I miss home though, so, while I am considerably refreshed, my thoughts are somewhat mixed.
The Senate Majority Leader has been selected. Marcus Stormwind was the eventual victor in an election that as quite wild. The lead was substantial for Marcus at first, then Talon's votes began to flood my inbox, to the point where twenty six hours prior to the closing of the polls, there was a tie. Marus had the final five votes registered after that point, which was the deciding margin. Congratulations to Marcus Stormdwind, new Senator Majority Leader. I would also like to congratulate Senator Talon for his efforts and thank him for his professionalism, even when the election took a brief turn to the personal. His behavior in this election cycle was an example to all.
The turn out for the election was less than I could have hoped for, but greater than I had anticipated. I believe several members abstained unable to decide between the two for various reasons, so the turn out was good. Participation in the debates could have been a bit better, but I shan't be too upset.

Join a party!! If you aren't in a party when Chancellor's Report X (10) is released, you will be declared inactive and pushed to the reserves. I'll be working with the party leaders this week to set up a manner of reporting membership to me in their weekly reports.

It is my great pleasure to award Minister of Communications Orv Dessrx with the Imperial Medal of Meritorious Service for his new Senate webpage. This has required a great deal of effort on his part. This is a great addition to the Senate as well. We would be lost withouth Senator Dessrx.
On a related note, Senator Dessrx's new site for the Imperial Senate won the prestigious Site of the Week Award!
[:Projects and Plans:]
Well, I'm afraid that I didn't get as much done towards the election code as I had planned. As spring break and my vacation neared, my ambition in regard to the Senate wained. I'll be working on that this week.
Should you be waiting to be processed into the Senate, I'll be getting to that quite soon. I apologize for the delay. As Senator Dessrx works on completing administration functions on our new site, others shall have the option of processing recruits. Such is possible now, however, we have no function to send me mail to indicate the new membership so I can add them to out mailing list.
