Corporate Division
Report #24
4.8.2002 - VA Dark Angel

Howdy,

Not too much happening this week. So I'll skip the intro and get right into the report.

------

This week saw the retirement of two members of the Direx who have served the Corporate Division with distinction. VPT Reaper took over the Training office from myself under the command of Prex Bolitho. Since that time he has renovated the training system into what it is now. I would like to wish him the best in his future endevours, and hope he is able to return in the future.

VPO Renn MacLeod has seved the CD as VPO for many months, and in that time he has reshaped what the CD Ops Office does. Not only does it deal with medals, it is also the starting ground for all CD-wide competitions. Renn's incrediable graphics skills also gave us the uniforms that are under-used at the moment. As with Reaper, I wish him the best, and hope that he will again return to active duty in the near future.

VPX Trow and myself are currently taking applications for the VPO position. Please include in your application what you plan to do as VPO. The Competitions you will run, and the projects you will work on.

We are not taking applications for the VPT position. After a discussion with VPX Trow, we have decided that with the current training system used by the CD, a Direx position dedicated to training is not necissary. VPX Trow has agreed to take on these duties, and will be re-forming some of the trainign procedures in the next couple weeks.

This next announcement is a pleasent one. VPB Leeson has worked extremly hard in getting the CDEX up and running. He has successfully finnished this project in a matter of weeks, which is a feat in itself. In addition to this, he has performed his VPB duties without fail. For all his hard work, it is my pleasure to promote VPB Bevel Leeson to the rank of Rear Admiral. Congratulations Leeson!

Leeson would like me to remind everyone to stop applying for Loans. The system is not yet fully functional. If you need credits, do some work, and bug your CEO.

As Submitted by VPS Autoris Maximus:

Greetings,
From the land of the VPS I have recieved 10 applications for A:VPS and with alot of consideration on what I am planing to do I have selected AST Kyle Katarn as he has the skills I am looking for. I also want to let you know that untill I can talk with FA Stalker about the CSF and what it will be allowed to do that project is on hold :-(. I will hopefully get a website up for the VPS office within the next few days. Which will have a place to submit complaints and infractions by CD members. I am hoping that it never gets used personally.

Rim Tech is still without a CEO. VPS Auto had agreed to stay on as CEO until a replacement can be found, but this is not a perminant solution. If we don't get a candidate soon we will be forced to close the corp. This is not something I want to do. Rim Tech is the oldest corp we have, and I'd hate to see it go.

FSS has been in the process of reforming itself into a new corp. Under the direction of CEO Arania they have decide to localize on the following items.

Graphics - currently, no corp is doing graphics. So we'd like to pick it up. This includes comics, if we can find a reliable artist.

Robo Rally for the EH - we are to deal with security? Fine, let's test bodygoard/spy droids (bots) and play the fun game Robo Rally (www.wizards.com/roborally). It's an easy to learn board game that is played online via email/MB in other places and it can easily be EH/SW adapted. There is no need to own the game or something.

If you are interested in either of these items, please contact CEO Arania (lwaxanatroi@kedanya.org)

Just as a friendly reminder, weekly reports are just that, weekly. You need to send one every week. They are expect to be sent to Prex Dark Angel, VPX Trow, VPB Leeson by no later than Sunday evening.

-----

Last week's lyrics comp had a rather poor turn out. Only three correct answers. The right answer was "Dare To Be Stupid" by Wierd Al Yankovic. The following people got it right.

Pheonix Man
Tempest
Tierce

There will be no lyrics comp this week, so stay tuned for the next one.

-----

This week has been extremly busy for me. It is clinch time at school, with mid-terms coming up. These marks are submitted to the universities I applied for, so I need to do well. Becuase of this, and some personal things that need to be sorted out. I will be going on leave for the next couple weeks. I will be able to check my e-mail once in a while, but not enough to say that I'm active.

I have talked with VPX Trow, and have every confidence that he will be able to handle things while I'm gone. While I'm gone, he is the one you need to talk to.

-----

So until next time, try to stay out of trouble.

Thanks,
VA Dark Angel
