ISD Grey Wolf
Report #35
1.4.2002 - VA Khadgar

Khadgar's Note: I realize that some of you are worried about MSE medals from November. Some of these medals are not yet awarded. They were delayed due to officers going on leave during the holidays and the like. Your patience is appreciated.

ISD Grey Wolf Report #35 - 01.04.02

Pilot's Lounge

A bomb is set to go off on the ISD Grey Wolf.
Note: This is a continuation of Report #33's fiction.

"How will we find the bomb?" someone asked.
"We know that bomb is either in the Swimming Pool area, Tennis Courts, the Bridge, the Hangar Bay or the Cantina," someone else said, since those are the only areas that the two suspects visited."
"Hmm, an interesting mystery," Khadgar said.
He proceeded to the bridge, and spotted an officer.
"Were you the officer on duty when Brand and Grulis came by?"
"Yes sir."
"Okay, did you see them engage in any suspicious activities?"
"No sir, I watched them like a hawk, there is no way that the bomb could be on your bridge."
"Thank you, officer."

Khadgar interviewed another officer.
"Commander Mace, you said that you saw the suspects during your break from active duty?"
"Yes sir. I recall seeing them either in the Cantina or on Tennis Courts."
"Did you see them engage in any suspicious activities?"
"No sir, they seemed to be enjoying themselves."
"All right, thank you."

Khadgar went around interviewing other officers and coming up with other clues.
Later, he came back into the cantina.
"I know where the bomb is!" he said.
"Well sir, where is it?" an officer said.
Khadgar uttered a single word and then fell to the ground.

Where is the bomb?

Note: Based on clues within this week's fiction, it is possible to solve the location of the bomb. This is not an official Competition, just something fun I put in for your enjoyment. As mentioned in the fiction, the bomb is either in the Swimming Pool area, Tennis Courts, the Bridge, the Hangar Bay or the Cantina.

Wing XIII Monastery

The Cardinal has a bone to pick this week.
That's right, it's with a company which will remain "Dierra".
Now then, this "Dierra" used to be one of the Cardinal's favorite software companies.
They made quality Adventure games, which the Cardinal spent many happy hours playing.
However, since then, "Dierra" was bought out by another corporation.
Suffice to say, the corporation could give a rat's arse about what "Dierra" used to under the old management.
The new "Dierra" has decided to cancel all their adventure games and sponsor quality games, which will remain "Full-Life" and "Gnomeworld". Don't get wrong, "Full-Life" and "Gnomeworld" are both great games, but I miss the old games that "Dierra" produced.
So, if anyone from "Dierra" is reading this... Get your arse in gear!

Cardinal Lawyer's Note: "Dierra", "Full-Life" and "Gnomeworld" are terms used to hide the actual names. Since the Cardinal is miserly, he refused to pay me to put proper legal notices into the Report. Instead, he changed the names so that he could babble on all he wanted.

Commodore's Office

Okay, this week's topic is on Recruitment.
I realize that a lot of people on the ship have been hard at work on Recruitment.
Unfortunately, the need for Recruitment never goes away, there is always room for news pilots.
The best places to recruit from are Daedalus (not directly!) and the Reserves (directly).
If you'd like a copy of my Recruitmental Manual, please ask.

One thing I'd like everyone to do (if they haven't already) is to read over Cyric's goals for the ASF. I think the big goals focus around Recruitment and Multiplayer. I realize that in December, no one was able to enter XvT WoW. It's unfortunate, but unfortunately, I can't guarentee that we can always participate in WoWs.
However, with that in mind, I think it would be excellent if people tried to fly at WoW. There are always a lot of Wing XIII people eager to fly 2on2, so I'm sure you won't be alone in combat. :)
I will address this topic again when it comes closer to WoW time.

Anyways... Until next week...

Picture of the Week

Apparently the group "N'Sync" has a minor part in Episode II (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2001601540,00.html). If that's not funny, I don't know what is.
