WING VIII Weekly Report

Week Ending 10.02.01

Wing News
(Note: Any replies to anything in here should be made to the Colossus Egroups at (ISD-Colossus@yahoogroups.com) or me individually at (absolutv@isdcolossus.com). Don't just hit Reply all. It is done like this so I can be sure that everyone gets the report)

Okay down to business. Things are starting to pick up after a long and dreary 2 weeks. ECR, school, etc is taking alot out of everyone. So all I say is just concentrate on ECR for the time being, then follow thru with the Wing vs Wing comp which is going on right now. CMDR's your expected to keep track of who flew for the comp and give me the details for your squadron. I will put out a format for which I would like to see, when you turn in the comp report to me.

Reminder we have several people on leave, but I have only documented the ones who have notifed me or their CMDR's. CMDR's you are entrusted to check your squad mates to see who is and who isn't available. I'll be needing a list for the next round of ECR. This is important, and of you have constant contact with your boyz or galz and they are on leave , then make sure their profiles say so. otherwise they will count against us. So get cracken!

As you know we have started our weekly meetings again. Unfortunately due to my daughter getting sick this past weekend I couldn't be there. But I did get a copy of the meeting. It went well, thank to CM Daniel Klivian who ran the meeting. He did a fine job recording the meeting for those of us who weren't present. I will be there this next sunday, and I hope to see more people there. Your inputs are needed as things start to pick up. More communication is the key so talk to your mates and get them there. If they can't be there then ask them in an e-mail what they would want to hear discussed, then bring it to the attention at the meeting. All in all they are going well after only 2 weeks back in service. Now we just have to keep Mell from getting drunk :P

Good job this past month gang, I'm glad to have seen alot more activity, inregards to IWATS being taken, and flying too. Overall the Wing is doing steady work and keeping the Colossus dream alive. Thank you all for your help. I promise you with your inputs and your help things Wing will be the best in the BG.

Colossus Standing Orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

Shortened for you. The rest maybe seen on the ISD Colossus website.

ISDCA - ISD Colossus Ace Competition Round #2 - coming to a theater near you :)
Round 2 coming soon. I won't get this rolling until after ECR. Since right now, we have lots going on with ECR, school, tests, etc. I wouldn't want to place a burden on you to make an interference with your RL stuff. So get it straight and take care of your business and then we'll get started soon. Don't worry you'll get your chance to prove your the best honest :)

Hall of the Grand Knight
Should be updated to the website by this weekend, but probably won't be initiated until after ECR, sorry :(

Command Changes
None.

Shopping List
Yes we got one this time :). Our Wing vs Wing comp is on so go fly XWA-TC #14, and TIE-TC #173. Even if you've done it do it again, but this time try harder to get the best score you possibly can. Cuz we're going up against a good Wing off the Sovereign, and we'll need the best scores to beat them. Everyone is free to fly it, but only the top 12, 6 for XWA and 6 for TIE will be the recorded scores for the total score for the ship. If you want detail of the comp then e-mail me, and I'll tell ya.

Lastly, like I said, if you want some easy medals, then go fly. I have in the past awarded, ISMs for flying 20+ missions, PCs for flying 40+ missions, and BSs for flying 80+ missions. So if your game then go fly, its not hard just takes a little of your time and patience. Medals for the past week will be awarded after I submit this report as i will be submitting them right after :P

Reviews

Egroups
Overall the chatting has picked up considerably, this is a good thing. Once again we need to make sure that everyone is part of their egroups to ensure they get all mail sent to them. Just make sure you CC Mell on all communiqués. I don't want him being left out! Remember if you reply to this Wing Report then please only hit reply and send it to me, or hit reply and add the Colossus egroup addy at (ISD-Colossus@yahoogroups.com). I can't express this enough. Because if your reply is trivial then the others don't need to see it, as well as being personal. Thats why I send the mail this way.

IRC
Up until recently I was on=line much more than usual. But then my daughter got sick and that proved to be unsuccessful for me to be on-line :( But I'm working on this really, but for those who haven't been there then we need to get them there! So send them to the #isd_colossus chat room. I should also be present most of the time soon, and you'll find me in the #ISDC channel if I'm not in the main Colossus channel. Cuz I don't want to just hang out in the Colossus channel and not answer. If you see me in my office, then msg me. If I don't answer you while your on-line then expect a mail from me alittle while after. This will be on of my ways to better help you out if your in need and can't reach me. If I'm not there and there is an important issue which you need help on then please e-mail me, I will get back to you ASAP really!

Message Boards
I have an idea, but you have to contact me first.

Colossus Website
Absolut Vodka is working on some updates, but once again my daughter took presedence this time. She was sick so I had no time do to crap :( maybe next week or soon to be exact, some things will get updated and change around. Of course this is all pending.

Academics
11 wooooo... IWATS courses passed by Colossus Pilots this week..
Avantar ----> TM, XTT, ICQ
Zept Leeartic ----> ICQ
Dave Darklighter ----> TM
Janus ----> TT
Alain Dindareanu ----> GFX, XTT, XTM, IIC/3, SM/2

Can ya believe it? Only a few pilots managed to over come bordem and did an outstanding 11 IWATS course this past time. However, only one will get awarded an ISM for his hard work. If this sounds cool to you then we can hep you get an easy ISM. Just aply yourself for a few minutes of your day and do 4 IWATS courses for the week and you'll get one too! But they must be completed and passed within the reporting week or it doesn't count :P And CMDR's don't forget to try and atleast get those who you think will be promising Officers for the future to take the SM/2 course.

BSF's - STATISTICS
Good thing this time around. There were several pilots in the Wing who got outstanding BSf's earning them selves to be in the top ratings as they were alble to attain High Scores for the missions or battles they flew. Its good to see we have many good flying pilots out there. Just remember, don't cheat to get that high score, as it will put your career in danger, trust me. Now onto the overall stats for the Wing.

Colossus final totals for September:

Total BSF's: 167
Total Missions: 674

Colossus totals for August:

August
Total BSF's: 308
Total Missions: 1,183

Squadron and pilot breakdown coming up.

Top 5 Pilots of the Week
Now you'll see some different names this time, simply amazing I say. Here are the Top 5 Pilots for the last 2 weeks showing off their BSF stats:

LCM Oorl Quygg: 10 BSF's, 33 missions
LCM Phalk Sturm: 6 BSF's, 28 missions
CM Kodiak Kereban: 3 BSF's, 14 missions
LT Trideo Arkson: 2 BSF's, 13 missions
LCM Mark Schueler: 2 BSF's, 11 missions (tied for 5th)
LCM Jacob Racke: 2 BSF's, 11 missions (tied for 5th)

My congratz to LCM Oorl Quygg in winning the POW (Pilot of the Week)! He took it away and made an outstanding show this past week! LCM Oorl Quygg is the one to beat this time taking the top gun award this time!

Top 5 Pilots of the Month for September

LCM Oorl Quygg: 39 BSF's, 155 missions
LT Zept Leeartic: 16 BSF's, 77 missions
CM Aidan Pryde: 12 BSF's, 56 missions
LCM Phalk Sturm: 12 BSF's, 54 missions
LCM Mark Schueler: 13 BSF's, 53 missions

Congratulations to LCM Oorl Quygg for taking the Top Gun for the month of September. All in all the top pilots for the month of September did an outstanding job and even showed a bit of competition between them. Even though its a far cry from the previous months. But the ending 2 weeks of September showed alot of members taking leave due to school, so high stats werent' expected. Good job to all who did fly, it is really appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Top Squadron of the Week
Over all I have to say congratulations to Nu Squadron, as they take the SOW (Squadron of the Week) award again. They did it by flying for: 15 BSF's and 58 missions. Outstanding showmanship good job guys! Lets see if they can keep it up until the end of the month ;) They kept a steady pace through out the week thus earning them the title of Squadron of the Week. Good job guys!

Top Squadron of the Month for September
Everyone congratulate Nu Squadron! They have topped the charts with an overall 208 missions for the month of September. The only ones who even came close was Eta closing in behind with 194 missions. Competition for squadron of the month was close, but in the end the victor was Nu. Good job!

Rats Extermination

Squadron Summaries

Okay once again the rankings of the squadrons. Wanna see how your squad is holding up? Take a look below at the order they are performing at the moment for September:

1) Nu Squadron
2) Eta Squadron
3) Iota Squadron
4) Mu Squadron
5) PI Squadron
6) Omicron Squadron

Well there ya have it. Nu taking it all for September. They had an outstanding show this past month. Taking the top honors over all squads in the Wing. But they better watch out since Eta was right on their heels coming in a close second. I do see a bit of competitiveness here which is good. I just hope in the coming weeks this will pick up even better. I want to see more fighting for the top honors. So I wonder who's gonna get it next Month? Stay tuned to the Colossus network it can only get better!

Miscellanous

Not much to say this time round. Just don't forget that mine and VA Mell's doors are open if you need something, just remember to CC your CMDR when you write us. You'll know when the poll is closed and the results posted. You wanna be heard? Then go vote! Address is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ISD-Colossus/polls

Enjoy. And don't forget to vist the Colossus Website as things develope it will be announced there. So until next week, stay safe and be aware....
