Squadron News

Vortex Squadron is currently having its most active month since it was once considered the BEST Squadorn on the ISD Grey Wolf. Here is a run down our our activity this month!

Legion of Combat Medals: 51!!!
Distinguished Flying Cross: 7!!!
Battles Flown: 70!!!
Mission High Scores: 4!!
IWATS: 10 New IWATS!!!
New Members: 4 New Members!!!
Graphics: 4 New Squadron Logos!!!
Mission Design: 7 Missions being designed!!!
And we currently have two pilots that rank in the TOP Three on the XVT Ladder!!!(BlackHero & Sarin)

We are also had our competition accepted and will be hosting the first ever Vortex Invitational Tournament. Details for our competition can be found at http://www.imperialacademy.org/compdetails.asp?D=920

MSE Update(September) Quite Frankly I must apologize for MSEs not being processed as of yet. They are now one month late and it is a shame the you have not been rewarded for your hard work yet.

Wing and Ship News

Crusader Squadron has been decimated by the transfer of the majority of her pilots. The group which left our ship are now on board of the Intrepid and have reopened Diamondback Squadron. My only comments on this situation: If Imperial Law was dictated by CMDR Sarin there would be dead Pilots floating in space now.

Crusader Squadron's CMDR position is now open. If any of you would like to apply for the position please contact me. We will discuss the matter and if you are still sure you would like to apply for the job I will grant you permission to apply to our WC.

CPT Tomaas has once again become CMDR of Tartarus. Congratulations!

ASF Multiplayer Competition is coming soon. I will send more details on this competition in my Squadron Briefing for it(Coming October 31).

Current Squadron Orders

Last weeks squadron orders were completed by the majority of the squadrons Pilots. Remember these orders are given for a direct purpose, that purpose is to improve this squadron's status. Listed below is the orders for the entire squadron!!! We gain a squadron citation when half of our pilots have flown the same battle. These are the current XVT battles that we still need Citations for. If you have already completed all of these I still expect to see 4 battles from you this week.

All Pilots are to complete XVTFCHG1, XVTTC11-17, XVTIW 10, 12, 13, and 14. All Pilots are to fly at 1 Competition(see times and days below) and fly at least 3 Ladder Matches. I suggest you fly BlackHero and myself!!!

Flight Leaders Corner

LCM BlackHero has been promoted to Executive Officer(XO) in Vortex Squadron. His duties will consist of keeping accurate data on Citations and recruitment.

Both Flight Leaders report all is well in their flights. Discussions are currently underway on an InterSquadron Competition that will be played for NAMES. The winner of the Flight Competition will have the ability to name the other Flights for One Week!

New Activities

Vortex Squadron is currently in need of a website and I am looking for someone to help me create it. If you have any skills in this area please contact me at once. I have many images that can be used for the website but the squadron is still in need of a Squadron Patch for our Uniforms(I want a skull of some sort!).

Monday Afternoon from 3:00 Easter Time to 5:00 Eastern time is now going to be Vortex Multiplayer Practice! I am holding these practices to improve our skills and to improve our chances at winning the ASF Multiplayer Competition and the XVT Ladder. Everyone is recommended to attend.

Commanders Thoughts

This has been another strong week for the squadron. We have seen activity from 8 out of our ten pilots this week. I believe that we are going to become a very tough squadron to beat in the upcoming competitions. I appreciate each and everyone of you for working for the squadron. YOUR HARD WORK WILL BE REPAYED. I am a firm believer in awarding my pilots and I will make sure that each and everyone of you receive what you deserve. I want to see each and everyone of you completing the squadron orders this week.

October Montly Squadron Evaluations are coming up in 4 days. If you want to impress me I suggest you hop in your Tie Fighter and fly many battles. You never know, you could turn that PC recommendation into a BS recommendation!
