Phantom Squadron
Report #30
9.2.2001 - CPT Werdna Elbee
Yesterday was a good day. We got a new pilot,
GM returned, Rollins was promoted, England won 5-1, Poland won 3-0, I saw nearly
everyone on IRC and my change of course at University was confirmed. Let's hope
today will be good too, as the WC's Own results are to be released. The next couple of weeks should be exciting
too. I'm arranging a squadron competition to start on Monday, Gunman will be
starting some Flight III competitions, there are a ton of new XWA battles and
missions to fly, the BG monthly awards will be handed out (please be us!!!), a
new Phantom CMDR will be decided on and more international football matches on
the way! You may notice that most of this
news has been ripped off from the mail I sent yesterday :o)
New Pilot
Please welcome SL Nuno to
Phantom Squadron!!! Let's hope he turns out as good as everyone else in this
squadron.
Return of CPT Gunman
Welcome back to CPT Gunman!!! He
has retaken his place as Flight III's FL to kick some ass in Flight
competitions. This brings our roster to a full 12 pilots. Has that ever been
done before? I know we once had 11 pilots, but I think this is a new record.
Rollins Promoted To LCM
Congratulations to Rollins for
being promoted to LCM!!! It is very well deserved.
CMDR E-mail Change
My e-mail is now officially werdna_elbee@hotmail.com
so all pilot files and stuff go there.
New Executive Orders IWATS AIM Course Released New Tactical Officer Sovereign Commodore resigns As FA Kramer writes:
I resign my position as
Sovereign Commodore effective immediately.
That may have been the hardest
thing I've ever had to write. I've been in charge of the Flagship for four
years, and loved every minute of it. I've made some fantastic friends, seen
some amazing things, and I thank all of you for the great times I've had. I
still love the Sovereign and the Empire as much as I ever have, however my
time constraints in "real life" are such that I can no longer devote
the time to one of my favorite pastimes.
I would like to thank everyone
who has meant something to me, but I'd forget somebody important and I just
don't want to do that. Thank you all . . .
He'll be greatly missed. Kramer
is a great friend to myself and was an excellent Commodore.

Introduction
14:15 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
New Executive Orders (#4 and #5) have been posted on the
Executive Office site at http://www.kawolski.com
which will affect members who have been convicted by the High Court or are
currently on trial.
04:09 - HA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]
Thanks to the efforts of CPT
Darknyte, there is now an IWATS course about the AOL Instant Messenger
program. You can check it out at http://www.imperialacademy.org/aim/.
23:10 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
With the resignation of Fleet Admiral StarLion to be CA:TAC, Fleet
Admiral Striker has returned to be the Tactical Officer once again!
00:41 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
After four years and an a month, Fleet
Admiral Kramer has chosen to hang up his Sovereign Commodore uniform.
00:59 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
The Tactical Office will not accept new free mission or battle
submission until further notice. *Updated* versions from authors are accepted
though. This decision is made for two reasons:
06:12 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Mission skipping is only allowed if a bug prevents you to
complete a mission. It is strictly forbidden to skip a mission just in order
to complete more easily the battle if no fatal bug is present in this mission.
Even in XWA where skipping a mission is an ingame option, only use it in case
of bugs. If you encounter a fatal bug and skip a mission, tell your CMDR when
submitting the pilot file. CMDRs, please state then the mission has been
skipped because of a bug; a bug report MUST also be filled by the pilot.
Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the BSF, the played battle
being then removed from the pilot profile. The aim of this rule, part of the
TC Cheating Policy since it exists, is to prevent people from gaining easy
FCHG points in skipping missions without reason (FCHG points are awarded for
the whole battle, even if you skipped a mission) whereas some pilots would
take time to complete all missions. Fairness...:-)
06:06 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
All the battles and corrections announced in the last report
of Fleet Admiral StarLion have been uploaded and added to the database...happy
flying ! I would recommend you TC-XWA
Battle 17 but you would see I have no shame, as I made it :P

31/08/01 - Changed e-mail address to werdna_elbee@hotmail.com
Comments: This week I've been doing a bit more work on EHVOGUE, updated
the squadron website, and posted on the mailing lists and message boards. I've
been on IRC quite a lot too.
No recordable activity
Comments: This record isn't really correct. Jari flew for the WC's Own
competition but I haven't BSFed it yet as I'm having trouble with the TC.org
database. I'll probably get it done today. Jari has been posting on the mailing
lists and message boards too.
No recordable activity
Comments: Nothing fro Nekura again this week. It probably because of RL
work, but I was disappointed with the lack of a competition entry.
01/09/01 - Joined Phantom Squadron
Comments: N/A
29/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #12 for comp (+6)
Comments: Mark should have a couple more battles complete on this
report, but with my database trouble you'll read about them in the next report.
Mark has been sighted in IRC rather a lot this week, and has a good presence
communicating on the other mediums.
27/08/01 - Flew TC-XWA #6 (+4)
28/08/01 - Flew TC-XWA #7 (+5)
30/08/01 - Awarded a CoB for completing 30 missions
31/08/01 - Wrote for squadron run-on (+2)
Comments: As well as
another good week of flying, Bobecc has been posting on all the message boards a
lot. He has got a well deserved CoB early in his TC career too, which is nice.
26/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #12 for comp (+6)
31/08/01 - Wrote for squadron run-on (+2)
01/09/01 - Promoted to LCM
Comments: While Rollins hasn't been flying
as often because of an addiction to JK, he has been seen communicating a lot,
making sure he takes part in the competition and celebrating his promotion.
27/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #12 for comp (+6)
29/08/01 - Flew TC-XWA #3 (+5)
01/09/01 - Flew TC-XWA #4 (+5)
Comments: After Ezop's first full week
I can say that he is doing very well. A few more battles under his belt and an
entry to the competition shows that he is a great addition to Phantom.
01/09/01 - Transferred from reserves back to Phantom 3-1
Comments: N/A
27/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #12 for comp (+6)
27/08/01 - Flew TC-TIE #178 (+8)
Comments: Another good solid week of flying, communicating and
competing. It looks like Marek isn't having any trouble getting on the computer
anymore (let's hope I didn't tempt fate).
26/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #12 for comp (+6) with HS
26/08/01 - Flew FREE-XWA #13 (+1) with HS
Comments: This week Deimos has been focusing on keeping his high scores
for the above missions. He's done a very good job of it too. I've also chatted
to him on IRC, and seen him posting on the mailing lists.
01/09/01 - Moved to Phantom 3-4
Comments: With a lot of XWA battles released this week it looks like
Spearhawk's betatesting labours were well used. Not too much general activity
this week, but he's still be communicating as if he has an addiction to
typing.
